Composition and principle of action of hydroperite
Hydroperite is a clathrate of hydrogen peroxide combined with urea (urea). Belongs to antiseptic agents. International name for the active substance: Urea peroxide.
Once on the skin, the disinfectant drug begins to foam as a result of a reaction with the body’s enzymes, and oxygen is released. This helps to cleanse the wound, decontaminate pus and other organic substances. High concentration allows for exfoliation and cauterization.
The drug causes a temporary disinfecting effect and has deodorizing properties. Upon contact with hair, the active component interacts with air, entering into an oxidative reaction. As a result, the pigment is neutralized.
Release form: white tablets with small inclusions of small crystals. In rare cases it can be found in powder form. Each tablet contains 1.5 g of active ingredient.
The drug is used not only in cosmetology, but also in dentistry, pediatrics and traumatology, and gynecology. The medicine is used only for external treatment.
What is this substance and what is it used for?
Hydroperite is a medical preparation with antiseptic and disinfectant properties .
The basis of Hydroperite is urea with the addition of hydrogen peroxide. The peroxide content in this compound is 36%. The release form of Hydroperit is white tablets. The equivalent of 1 tablet is 15 ml of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide.
In medicine, Hydroperite is used as a powerful antiseptic for gargling and disinfecting wounds. It is widely used in everyday life as a disinfectant.
The drug's ability to purify and clarify water is used to treat swimming pools . Peroxide in combination with urea has a detrimental effect on pathogenic microorganisms and algae that multiply intensively in a polluted body of water.
A simultaneous process of water disinfection and clarification occurs. The action of the drug is effective and safe. The result is clear and practically sterile water.
How to lighten hair at home
The modern cosmetology market offers dozens of hair lightening products. Using hydroperite, you can do this at home.
Recipes
It will not be possible to achieve an ash blonde from black curls, but it is quite possible to lighten the strands by 2-3 tones with hydroperite.
To obtain a three percent solution concentration, take 1 tablet of hydroperite and 1 tablespoon of water - this allows you to obtain a concentration of 3%, which can be increased, if necessary. One tablespoon contains 15 ml of water, and one teaspoon contains 5 ml of water.
There are several classic recipes for using the product:
Crush hydroperite tablets into powder. 2 pieces are enough. Add two teaspoons of water and one tsp. any shampoo. Stir until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Apply from the back of the head to the temples.
You can enhance the effect obtained by adding ammonia (ammonia). This is the recipe you get:
- 10 drops of alcohol;
- 15 ml water;
- two tablets of hydroperite.
The resulting mixture must be diluted, shaken well and stirred. This is a great way to lighten leg hair.
Crush 2 tablets, add 1 teaspoon of water (until dissolved) and shampoo. Separately mix 1 teaspoon of ammonia and 2 tablespoons of water. Add one teaspoon of the resulting solution to the first mixture with shampoo. Stir until smooth. Apply to curls one at a time to achieve a highlighting effect. Rinse off no later than after 15 minutes.
How many pieces do you need?
Hydroperite in tablets is convenient and universal in use for pools of different sizes. The required dose should be calculated before cleansing begins .
This takes into account the area of the structure and the volume of water in it. Hydroperite contains up to 36% peroxide. This indicator is equal to its content in Perhydrol. Taking this fact into account, the dosage is calculated in the same way as cleaning with Perhydrol.
To get the same effect, you need to use 1 kg of Hydroperite for a pool with a capacity of 2 cubic meters of water. You will need 800 tablets or 100 packs of the drug .
Correctly made calculations and an algorithm for combining Hydroperite with water ensures clean water in the pool. A protective film is formed on its surface, preventing repeated turbidity, blooming of water and the settlement of pathogenic agents in it. The effectiveness of this treatment lasts for 2 – 3 months.
When working with Hydroperite, used in high concentrations, you must follow safety regulations. Rubber gloves and safety glasses are a must .
If the powder from the tablets gets on the skin or eyes, it is necessary to rinse the affected area with running water. The persistence of discomfort becomes an indication to consult a doctor.
Precautionary measures
It is not recommended to use the product during breastfeeding, pregnancy in all trimesters and if you have hypersensitivity to one of the components. Signs that you should stop using the drug: discomfort, burning, itching, dizziness. Contact of aggressive substances with mucous membranes or eyes is unacceptable.
All cosmetologists advise conducting an allergy test before use. This is easy to do: apply a small amount of the mixture to the outer bend of the elbow or any other part of the arm. Leave for 20 minutes, rinse. Wait one hour, if nothing happens, then you can use this bleaching method.
Any irritation is a signal that you need to completely stop using it, preferring more gentle bleaching methods. If you experience any unpleasant sensations: burning, itching or tingling, you must immediately remove the mixture and rinse the skin area with plenty of water and consult a doctor.
When applying the mixture, you should always wear rubber gloves. 10-14 days before the procedure, it is necessary to abandon thermal and chemical perms and coloring. It is not recommended for use by owners of split hair; the ends will become more dry and sloppy.
Pros and cons of the product
Advantages:
By destroying pathogenic microorganisms, the drug prevents cloudiness and blooming of the water in the bowl.- Prevents the appearance of unpleasant odors.
- There is no negative effect of the components on the acid-base balance (pH is maintained at normal levels).
- The crystal purity of the water is maintained for a long time (from 1 to 3 months).
- Budget price.
- The procedure is simple and does not require contacting specialists.
- Hydrogen peroxide without urea is unstable to heat and light, as a result of which the substance quickly decomposes, releasing large amounts of oxygen, which can cause the fire of flammable or explosive substances. Hydroperite is resistant to external factors. Thanks to this, the drug is safe and convenient for transportation.
- The peroxide content in it is significantly higher than in the pharmaceutical solution, which is only 3% versus 36% in Hydroperite. Consequently, the effectiveness of cleansing and disinfection also exceeds the effect of peroxide.
Flaws:
- When processing the bowl, you should strictly adhere to the recommended temperature regime - the water should be no more than 27 ° C. If it is exceeded, the effectiveness will be significantly lower. Therefore, it is advisable to carry out the cleansing procedure in the evening hours.
- There is a possibility of developing an allergy to the components of the drug.
- Ignoring the rules for preparing the solution and adding the product to the bowl reduces the effectiveness of the product.
- Exceeding the dosage may lead to skin burns.
Photos before and after the procedure
The effect of the procedure depends on the original hair color and its structural features. In the photos below you can see what the result of bleaching using hydroperite looks like.

How to dilute and add the solution?
The drug should be introduced into the cup after first dissolving it in a small amount of water - it should be warm. When cold, Hydroperite will not dissolve completely and will settle to the bottom of the bowl. As a result, it will take more time to activate the action of the drug, and its antiseptic, disinfecting and cleansing effect will decrease.
To speed up the dissolution of the tablets, it is advisable to first crush them to a powder state and then add water. Simply adding tablets to the cup is not acceptable.
Purification of pool water using Hydroperite involves a step-by-step procedure. The algorithm of actions is as follows:
collect debris from the surface of the water and remove plaque;- turn on the filter pump to activate the uniform distribution of the product over the entire area of the pool (without constant stirring, the solution will settle to the bottom and water purification will slow down);
- then slowly pour in Hydroperite, diluted in warm water until smooth;
- without using a pump, the solution must be injected along the entire perimeter of the structure to avoid accumulation of the product in one area and to prevent the mixture from settling on the walls of the bowl, as this can change their shade;
- When using a circular pump, uniform distribution of the product is greatly simplified. To do this, immerse one end of the hose in the solution, and lower the other into the pool;
- Upon completion of the procedure, the surface of the structure must not be covered. The released oxygen freely evaporates from the outdoor pool.
It is not recommended to swim in water purified by Hydroperit for 24 hours. If a high concentration of solution was used due to severe contamination, the break is accordingly increased to 36 hours.
Alternative options
