COMPLIVIT OFTHALMO (tablets)
anochki.
So vitamins are quite expensive. The drug is packaged in a coated cardboard box. The box contains all the information about the vitamin complex that may be of interest to the consumer.
Inside the box there are detailed instructions for using the vitamins, as well as information about each component included in the preparation.
The vitamins themselves are in a white plastic jar with a screw-on lid. The jar was wrapped in shrink film, which provides additional protection from unauthorized access and better preservation of the tablets.
As I noted above, there are 30 tablets in a jar. They are round, smooth, coated, medium in size, and pale orange in color. You need to take 1 tablet per day after meals. I usually do this in the morning. Vitamins are easy to swallow.
According to promises, they can improve vision in low light conditions and protect the eyes during increased visual stress. This is due to the composition of the drug, which includes 9 essential vitamins, 3 minerals and plant carotenoids. The composition is excellent, and some of its components, in particular vitamin A and lutein, are needed specifically to maintain good vision.
I had high hopes for Complivit Oftalmo. However, after drinking almost the full course (4 tablets left), I did not notice any improvement in my vision. My eyes still get tired from the computer and heavy visual workload, and in low light conditions I can see exactly the same as before. Thus, nothing has changed in terms of vision. But the vitamins improved my overall health. In addition, my nails have become noticeably stronger. But other vitamin and mineral complexes also provide this effect, for example, Selmevit from the same “Pharmstandard”, which also costs much less. Another disadvantage of “Complivita Oftalmo” is the presence of E-110 dye (sunset yellow) in the composition.
In conclusion of my review, I will note the advantages and disadvantages of the drug. Pros: - composition (vitamins + minerals + carotenoids), increased amount of vitamins for the eyes; — you need to take 1 tablet per day, which is very convenient; — release form; - improve general well-being, strengthen nails; - package.
Cons: - the course will require 3 packages of the drug; - high price; - low efficiency specifically for vision; - dye included.
I will recommend “Complivit Oftalmo”, since it is quite possible that it actually helps someone strengthen and improve their vision. I will not buy this drug again.
Pharmacological properties
Complivit Oftalmo is a combination product containing a complex of vitamins, microelements and plant-based carotenoids. Its pharmacological action is explained by the properties of the components included in the composition:
Vitamin C – normalizes the permeability of capillaries, playing a vital role in maintaining the elasticity of their walls. Stimulates the functioning of the endocrine glands, tissue regeneration, regulates blood clotting, collagen synthesis, and the production of steroid hormones. It has a stimulating effect on the entire body, increasing its adaptive capabilities, as well as resistance to infections and harmful external influences.
Vitamin B1 is an essential component of the processes of transmitting nerve impulses, as well as coordinating the functions of the main systems of the body: nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular. It plays a key role in ensuring adequate energy metabolism.
Vitamin B2 is one of the participants in carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism, the production of hemoglobin and erythropoietin. Needed to maintain normal function of the visual system.
Vitamin B6 – is involved in the metabolism of amino acids and carbohydrates. Makes possible the normal functioning of the nervous system (central and peripheral). Folic acid is involved in various metabolic processes necessary in the production of nucleic acids. It has an antianemic effect, increases the thromboresistance of the endothelium, and protects against vascular obliteration.
Vitamin B12 - takes part in the production of nucleotides, is considered an important factor in hematopoiesis, as well as the growth of epithelial cells; essential for myelin synthesis and folic acid metabolism.
Rutin is one of the main participants in redox processes, has antioxidant properties, prevents oxidation, and helps deposit ascorbic acid. Strengthens capillary walls and regulates permeability. Reduces inflammation and swelling of tissues.
Vitamin A plays an important role in maintaining vision functions, as a component of the visual pigment rhodopsin, it ensures the normal functioning of the vision apparatus and the eye’s perception of light. Necessary for night blindness, diseases of the cornea and retina. Needed to activate regeneration processes of the skin and mucous membranes.
Vitamin E is endowed with antioxidant properties and is able to maintain the stability of red blood cells. It has a positive effect on the activity of the sex glands, nerve tissue and muscles. It is necessary in the process of tissue respiration, affects the activity of the endocrine glands, and inhibits the aging process in tissues.
Lutein and zeaxanthin are yellow pigments, plant carotenoids, essential for normal retinal function. Protect it from damage due to exposure to UV rays. They are elements of the retinal antioxidant system. Localized in the retina and lens, they protect photoreceptors from reactive oxygen species formed as a result of the adverse effects of radiation of various origins on the eye. Insufficient content of these carotenoids can lead to a weakening of the visual system’s ability to resist negative external factors, high visual loads, and computer radiation. Lutein and zeaxanthin play an important role in the prevention of a number of eye diseases.
Selenium is a natural antioxidant that can enhance local immunity. In combination with vitamins A, E, C, it has pronounced antioxidant properties, improves adaptive abilities under the influence of adverse factors (stress, smoking, polluted environment).
Zinc - helps the retina utilize vitamin A. Prevents the development of hemeralopia. Necessary in the production of insulin, sex hormones, and the functions of lymphoid tissue. A lack of zinc can provoke the development of retrobulbar neuritis, decreased color vision, blepharitis, and cataracts.
Copper is a necessary catalyst for a number of biochemical reactions. This element is involved in the production of melanin. Copper plays a significant role in the synthesis of collagen and elastin; it is an essential component of iron metabolism and hematopoietic processes.
Thus, Complivit ophthalmo is a source of a balanced supply of components necessary for the optimal functioning of the human body. It has an ophthalmoprotective effect due to the properties of the complex of vitamins, mineral components, and carotenoids included in the composition. Taking the drug improves visual perception under high visual loads, increases the properties of antioxidant protection of the visual system. This vitamin complex is recommended for contact lens users as a means of activating tissue regeneration, damage to which always occurs when wearing contact correction products.
Instructions for use COMPLIVIT® OFTALMO (COMPLIVIT OFTALMO)
A combined preparation containing a complex of vitamins, microelements and plant carotenoids.
The pharmacological effect of the drug is determined by the properties of its constituent components.
The compatibility of the components in 1 tablet is ensured by a production technology special for vitamin preparations.
Ascorbic acid (vitamin C)
- regulates capillary permeability and plays an important role in maintaining their elasticity. Activates the activity of the endocrine glands, regulates blood clotting, tissue regeneration, the formation of steroid hormones, and collagen synthesis. It has a stimulating effect on the body as a whole, increases its adaptive capabilities, resistance to infections and adverse effects.
Thiamine (vitamin B1)
- participates in the process of transmitting impulses along nerve fibers. Participates in coordinating the functioning of the nervous, cardiovascular, and endocrine systems. Plays a key role in ensuring the normal course of energy metabolism.
Riboflavin (vitamin B2)
- participates in carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism, in the synthesis of hemoglobin and erythropoietin. Essential for maintaining normal visual function.
Pyridoxine (vitamin B6)
— as a coenzyme, it takes part in the metabolism of amino acids and carbohydrates. Ensures the normal functioning of the central and peripheral nervous system.
Folic acid
— in the form of a coenzyme, it is included in various metabolic processes necessary for the synthesis of nucleic acids. Has an antianemic effect.
Cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12)
- participates in the synthesis of nucleotides, is an important factor in hematopoiesis and normal growth of epithelial cells; necessary for folic acid metabolism and myelin synthesis.
Rutoside (rutin)
— participates in redox processes, has antioxidant properties, prevents oxidation and promotes the deposition of ascorbic acid in tissues. Strengthens the walls of capillaries, regulating their permeability. Reduces swelling and inflammation, strengthens the vascular wall.
Retinol (Vitamin A)
- as a component of the visual pigment rhodopsin is important in maintaining visual function, ensures the normal activity of the visual analyzer and the eye’s perception of light.
