Sulfur in nature
Sulfur is the 16th element of the periodic table. In its pure form, sulfur has the appearance of a crystalline solid with a characteristic yellow color. In the natural environment, the element is found both in pure form and as part of sulfuric acids (FeSO4, MgSO4) and sulfuric acids (FES, CU2S).
The chemical properties of sulfur indicate that it is a typical metalloid.
Sulfur is present in various plants in the form of various organic and inorganic compounds. In addition, there are microorganisms whose waste products contain special sulfur compounds. This component enters the body of animals and humans with food. The process of sulfur absorption occurs directly in the intestines. Human plasma contains about 7% Sulfur, but this number may vary under the influence of various factors.
Theoretical and practical aspects of the use of sulfur preparations in dermatology
Basic sciences (pharmacology, biochemistry, physiology) include in their fundamentals the correction of vitamin and metal ligand homeostasis as a necessary background for conducting pharmacotherapy in a patient. Maintaining the balance of micro- and macroelements is, first of all, preserving the regenerative and reparative abilities of the body. Micro- and macroelements are contained in the human body in very small quantities, but the element can be part of an enzyme or coenzyme molecule, can simply activate a biological reaction, also form weak and super-weak biocoordination bonds or create an ionic environment. Of the 92 naturally occurring elements, 81 are found in the human body, among which sulfur is one of the important elements [1].
Research on sulfur content in the body and its metabolism continues, opening up new possibilities for its use in pharmacology. Currently, products containing sulfur have appeared on the Russian market, presented in the form of tablets for oral administration: dry purified yeast Evisent (dietary supplement) and specialized cosmetics for the care of problematic facial skin and scalp - Evisent based on brewer's yeast and sulfur. The Evisent drug complex is recommended for use in the treatment of onychodystrophies, trichodystrophies, acne, seborrheic dermatitis, rosacea and oral dermatitis. However, not only reliable information about drugs, but also its competent interpretation for subsequent justification of prescriptions is of particular importance. The success of therapy depends, among other things, on fundamental knowledge of the role of elements in the human body, which allows us to evaluate and rationally use drugs.
The macroelement sulfur is necessary for many vital functions in the human body and is an integral part of any living matter. The biological significance of sulfur is determined primarily by the fact that it is part of the amino acids methionine, glutathione and cysteine and, consequently, in the composition of proteins and peptides [1]. This macroelement plays its role through the formation of disulfide bonds and sulfhydryl groups.
Disulfide bonds or cysteine bridges (–S–S–) in polypeptide chains are involved in the formation of the spatial structure of proteins. Cysteine bridges link amino acids together to form a peptide, providing its unique structure, thus determining its basic physicochemical properties [2]. The cleavage of disulfide bonds leads to disruption of the native structure of proteins and their loss of biological activity [3]. It is thanks to disulfide compounds that the strength and elasticity of hair and tendons is maintained; without disulfide bridges, collagen formation is impossible.
Sulfhydryl groups or thiol compounds (–SH) play an important role in the active sites of enzymes. Possessing unique physicochemical properties and the highest reactivity, sulfhydryl groups easily enter into a reversible redox reaction under normal physiological conditions. Sulfur, as part of sulfhydryl groups, entering into alkylation, acylation, thiol-disulfide exchange reactions, forms mercaptides (when reacting with heavy metal ions), mercaptals, mercaptols (when reacting with aldehydes and ketones), thereby helping to neutralize toxic substances in the body. Sulfhydryl groups, being an integral part of coenzyme A and lipoic acid, are involved in enzymatic reactions of the formation and transfer of acyl residues associated with the metabolism of lipids and carbohydrates. It has been proven that blocking sulfhydryl groups using specific reagents causes partial or complete inhibition of the activity of many enzymes [3].
The scientific literature discusses the antioxidant properties of sulfur, which are manifested in the ability to attach an oxygen atom, thus, the oxidation of sulfur in the body reduces the free production of excess oxygen radicals. According to the authors, it is thanks to its antioxidant properties that sulfur slows down the aging process and increases life expectancy [4, 5]. Similarly, sulfur interacts with free radicals, neutralizing their damaging effects under conditions of oxidative stress [4–6].
According to the results of a scientific study conducted by V. A. Malozemova (2010), it was found that, with increasing age of the subjects, there is a tendency to increase the level of oxidized sulfur and to decrease the level of reduced sulfur, a decrease in its total amount and thiol-disulfide ratio with a significant change in indicators with every decade of life. This indicates the accumulation of oxidized products in the human body over the years of life and the intensification of free radical oxidation processes, which is confirmed by a significant decrease in the level of thiol-disulfide ratio and a decrease in SH groups with increasing age. In elderly patients, the greatest activity of sulfur oxidation and a decrease in its total amount were noted. These changes are associated with a decrease in the buffer capacity of the antioxidant system and can lead to pathological modification of the protein substrate, and also increase the risk of developing oxidative stress and associated morbidity [7].
Summarizing the above, we can say that sulfur ensures the stability of the structure of proteins, is part of the essential amino acids - methionine, cysteine, cystine and taurine, which are involved in the synthesis of proteins and enzymes, is an important catalyst for many biological processes and has antioxidant properties. It should be noted that the macroelement sulfur restores and maintains the elasticity and firmness of the skin, due to its participation in the synthesis of collagen, is part of the structure of hair and nails, normalizes the functioning of the sebaceous glands, and when applied topically has antiseptic, fungicidal and antiparasitic effects.
As is known, two groups of proteins are present in hair keratin: with a high sulfur content (16–24% cysteine) and ultra-high sulfur content (> 30% cysteine) [8]. According to numerous studies, trichodystrophy is based on defective synthesis of proteins with a high sulfur content. As a result, the macroelement is distributed unevenly along the entire length of the hair shaft, causing hair fragility [9–12]. When examined under a polarizing microscope, alternating dark and light zones are found in the hair [13], caused by defective synthesis of proteins with a high sulfur content.
However, according to observations conducted by British scientists, clinical signs of brittle hair in childhood are more common in sulfur deficiency conditions than in genetically determined trichodystrophies [14]. Taking all these observations into account, we can once again emphasize the important role of the macronutrient sulfur in the formation of a strong hair shaft structure.
Speaking about the therapeutic potential of sulfur preparations in the treatment of skin diseases, it is enough to recall the widespread use of precipitated sulfur (sulfur praecipitatum) in the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis, eczema and allergic processes. However, when precipitated sulfur enters the body's intestines, sulfates are immediately formed. Sulfates are poorly absorbed from the intestines and are quickly excreted through the kidneys. It is well known that a dose of sulfates of 1.0–2.0, when taken orally, has a laxative effect on a person, leading to cleansing of the digestive canal. For example, magnesium sulfate, widely used in medicine, in concentrations above 100 mg/l acts on people as a laxative. Thus, the bioavailability of sulfur salts is very low. It follows from this that it is difficult to correct sulfur deficiency in a patient by consuming precipitated sulfur, since when it is taken orally, there is low absorption and assimilation, weak inclusion in metabolism and side effects, mainly from the gastrointestinal tract [15].
Currently, there is a modern solution to the problem using the second generation of organoelement preparations, in which macro- and microelements are contained in the form of organic salts or complexes with amino acids. Evisent dietary supplement - dry purified brewer's yeast contains a wide range of macro- and microelements: calcium, purified sulfur, vitamins (B1 (thiamine), B6 (pyridoxine), B2 (riboflavin) and other B vitamins). Brewer's yeast, which is part of the drug, contains vitamin PP (niacin), vitamin D (in the past, before obtaining a synthetic analogue, brewer's yeast was used as a raw material for the production of vitamin D); amino acids and orotic acid, which stimulates metabolic processes in the body.
However, the main advantage of Evisent is that vitamins and elements, including sulfur, are found in protein complexes, which determines the gradual nature of their entry into the human body and ensures easy digestibility of active substances. This property is achieved through a special technology for preparing the drug; incubation (growing) of yeast cultures occurs in special sulfur-enriched media. The technology ensures the absorption and preservation of micronutrients by the yeast cell. The unique low-temperature drying technology at the final stage of production guarantees an increased content of B vitamins in Evisent yeast.
It is important that in the production of the product an important point was taken into account - the synergism of vitamins, micro- and macroelements and amino acids. For example, vitamin B6, folic acid and magnesium, acting in synergy, suppress the active functioning of the sebaceous glands.
Brewer's yeast is also a source of other microelements - selenium and zinc. Selenium protects cells from ultraviolet damage, inhibits skin photoaging, and is also involved in the production of the sulfur-containing cellular antioxidant glutathione. Zinc has anti-inflammatory and sebum-regulating effects, is involved in the proliferation of skin cells, stabilizes cell membranes and regulates cellular immunity.
Don’t forget about the effectiveness of sulfur when applied topically to the skin. The keratolytic and antiseptic properties of sulfur are due to the reaction that occurs during direct interaction between sulfur and keratinocytes. Under the influence of sulfur, the cysteine present in the stratum corneum is converted into cystine, and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is released. As a result of this reaction, an antiseptic effect is achieved due to hydrogen sulfide and lysis of keratinocytes. In addition, the finer the sulfur when applied externally, the greater the degree of such interaction and, consequently, the therapeutic effect increases [16].
The effectiveness of external use of sulfur has been studied by many authors. A number of advantages in the use of sulfur preparations in anti-acne creams with simple manufacture, high stability and low cost have been demonstrated by JQ del Rosso (2009) and PY Chen et al. (2011). According to the authors, external therapy products containing 5% sulfur and widely used in the treatment of acne, rosacea, and seborrheic dermatitis from 1962 to the present are effective and non-addictive [17–20]. The continued relevance of using sulfur in external products is explained by its main advantage - the absence of the development of microflora resistance. Thus, the complex use of external cosmetics for problem skin “Evisent Yeast with Sulfur” (foam wash, lotion and spot cream) makes it possible to widely use the properties of sulfur in the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis, oral dermatitis, rosacea, grade 1–2 acne and, as cosmetic care products for severe acne.
Evisent cleansing foam is created on the basis of a bioactive yeast complex, sulfur, which normalizes the drainage of sebum, zinc, which relieves inflammation and regulates the level of skin oiliness, and natural anti-inflammatory extracts - string and birch, allantoin with antioxidant and regenerating effects and inulin to increase local skin immunity. Thanks to its natural composition, Evisent cleansing foam thoroughly cleanses the skin, removes makeup residues, prevents the formation of comedones, narrows enlarged pores, regulates the functioning of the sebaceous glands, mattifies, eliminating oily skin, does not dry out, does not cause a feeling of tightness of the skin after use and is therefore ideal for deep cleansing of problem skin prone to acne.
Also an indispensable condition for proper daily care of problem skin is the use of a specialized lotion after washing Evisent. Evisent lotion, in addition to the bioactive yeast complex and sulfur, contains white willow bark extract, which is a natural source of salicylic acid with a pronounced antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect, and D-panthenol, which has a moisturizing and regenerating effect. Evisent lotion does not contain alcohol and has a neutral pH, so it is suitable for caring for any skin type.
Evisent spot-action cream based on yeast, sulfur and salicylic acid (source: white willow bark extract) is applied directly to the area of inflammation and the problem area, eliminates inflammation, has a keratolytic effect, and prevents the formation of “post-acne” type rashes. The patented component Sepitonic® M3 (zinc, copper, magnesium) normalizes the functioning of the sebaceous glands, stimulates cellular renewal, accelerates collagen production, stimulates skin regeneration and increases the energy potential of cells. Natural components - clover extract and rosewood oil - restore the skin, stimulate the synthesis of collagen and hyaluronic acid, have an antioxidant and soothing effect and eliminate swelling with a slight drainage effect.
The Evisent cosmetic line includes specialized cosmetics for problematic and thinning hair for basic care in the form of a soft shampoo without sulfates and Evisent balm based on a bioactive yeast complex, sulfur and garlic extract to improve microcirculation of the scalp and enhanced nutrition of the hair follicle. Evisent conditioner also contains dexpanthenol, which moisturizes and restores damaged hair structure.
Specialized cosmetics Evisent for problem skin and weakened, thinning hair and Evisent yeast, when used in combination, have a synergistic effect, potentiating each other’s action.
Thus, specialized cosmetics Evisent and Evisent yeast, containing the macroelement sulfur, vitamins, amino acids, can be considered as promising products in dermatology, the complex use of which can improve the treatment of acne, rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, onychodystrophies, trichodystrophies, maintain the beauty and health of skin and hair and nails.

Sulfur in medicine
Sulfur and its compounds have been used for medicinal purposes since time immemorial. It was widely used to treat skin and joint diseases, in cases of poisoning, and was also used as a laxative.
In the 19th century, carbon disulfide was widely used to treat paralysis and carbon monoxide poisoning. In combination with oils, it was used (rubbed in) in the treatment of gouty and rheumatic formations. In addition, in the treatment of scabies, sulfur was considered an effective means of killing parasites.
Nowadays, the healing properties of sulfur are often used in balneology. Sulfur waters are beneficial due to their hydrogen sulfide content. Sulfur waters are used to treat chronic arthropathy, gout, diseases of the heart muscle, osteomyelitis, chronic gynecological and skin diseases, as well as mercury and lead poisoning. However, sulfur waters are contraindicated for acute and subacute diseases of the heart and joints, gynecological diseases, hypertension with nephrosclerosis, furunculosis and inert ankelosis.
Recently, organic sulfur preparations have become increasingly popular. The simplest and most effective example of such a drug is the well-known ordinary white streptocide. Most drugs (sulfazin, disulfan, sulgin, phthalazole, urosulfan) are its derivatives. These drugs are used in the fight against serious diseases caused by cocci and other microorganisms.
Excerpts from the book by I.V. Dolinina “Find out your type and get cured.”
Natural sulfur is a yellow crystalline solid. In terms of its qualities, it is a typical metalloid. Sulfur forms many compounds - with metals (iron, copper, lead, zinc, magnesium), oxygen (anhydrides), hydrogen (hydrogen sulfide). Organic sulfur compounds (amino acids: methionine, cystine, cysteine) play a huge role. Sulfur is part of insulin, vitamin B1, and lipoids. It plays the same role in tissue respiration as hemoglobin does in pulmonary gas exchange.
Since ancient times, sulfur has been used in medicine for skin diseases, joint pathologies, as a laxative or an antidote for heavy metal poisoning. Since the mid-twentieth century, organic sulfur preparations - sulfonamides (sulfadimezin, norsulfazole, phthalazole, sulgin, urosulfan and others) have become widespread.
Homeopathy is unthinkable without the use of potentized sulfur and its compounds. Sulfur was tested by Hahnemann. It turned out that the drug is most suitable for people with profound metabolic disorders. Such a person has a rash on the skin, a strong odor of all discharge, a burning sensation in various parts of the body, which is intensified by heat, and congestion in the portal vein system. Through numerous observations, it was discovered that the “sulfur people” have a number of similar features of the nervous system. This allows us to identify the Sulfur psychotype.
MAN SULFUR
Classic Sulfur is a strong, full-blooded man of average height. His face and ears blush easily, and his lips are always crimson and “puffy.” Sulfur's skin has a "dirty appearance". In some places it is dry, in others it is shiny and smells foul of sweat. The hair is dull, bristling, and poorly styled (which is what Sulfur does not strive for when combing with his fingers). Sulfur's face can be round, but it must have a developed forehead. The eyes are small but expressive. Eyebrows can be bushy and thick. The nose is large, straight with a widening at the end, or “Roman”. The lips are full, the chin is not pronounced, the neck is short. There may be an abundance of hair on the body. The whole figure is “tightly built.”
Sulfur’s handwriting reveals a person with high self-esteem and developed logic.
More details in the books of Dolinina I.V.
All homeopathic manuals talk about two types of Sulfur. He is a philosophical theorist and business practitioner. Their appearance is also different. One is full-blooded, corpulent, with crimson lips. The other is wiry, stooped, with coarse, spiky hair. Both do not attach importance to the realities of everyday life and are concerned only with their global thoughts.
Sulfur constantly generates ideas and builds theories. His projects may seem divorced from life, but their author himself is confident in the implementation of his plans. Sulufur is often visited by thoughts about the reconstruction of the world and the happiness of all mankind. His erudition and deep knowledge in a variety of fields helps in this.
Sulfur has an encyclopedic memory for events, dates, and numbers. He can freely quote passages from scientific journals and literary works, and reproduce complex formulas.
When Sulfur thinks and comes up with ideas, he can seem like an ordinary slacker. Such a “sloth” lies on the sofa for hours, looking at the ceiling and talking to himself.
Sulfur respects creative, original people. But he values himself more than others. He sees prophetic dreams in which he acts as a messiah, and can invent his own religion. Engaged in self-promotion. Does not like to admit mistakes and often blames them on others. In case of psychological discomfort, he is able to completely retreat into his own fictional world, reminiscent of the country where Tolkien’s heroes live.
He considers the ability to think to be the most valuable quality. Sulfur has developed associative thinking, which during a conversation can lead far away from the original topic of conversation.
He easily provokes an argument - to do this, he just needs to say a couple of original phrases and back them up with confidence that he is right. He is not afraid of authorities and can argue with anyone. Sulfur is helped in this by manipulative logic with unexpected counterarguments.
Very freedom-loving and independent. He is never limited by conventions and does not act like everyone else. Lives as he wants, free from responsibilities and obligations. Doesn't want to deal with everyday disturbances, can't stand routine.
Sulfur's time belongs to his mental creativity. He makes long-term plans and does not like to summarize, since in this case the result will always be less than expected. Sulfur's activities are quite chaotic and depend on his mood and external conditions. Easily falls into apathy with complete indifference to affairs and surrounding events. Unable to collect thoughts and complete work. Feels aversion to any activity, becomes grouchy and lazy. The other side of the coin is haste, motor restlessness, anxiety and aimless activity.
Sulfur has developed intuition and logic. If the first quality prevails, then we have before us an idealist philosopher. If the latter, then this is a business practice.
Personal relationships are not easy for Sulfur. He is often tactless, neglects decency, and speaks contemptuously of the intelligence of other people.
The closer the communication distance, the more unceremoniously he behaves. After all, he recognizes freedom and independence for himself, but can issue an ultimatum to his partner. As Albert Einstein did to his wife, who was forced to sign the rules of conduct. In them, the points stipulating the husband’s absolute peace during his reflections were especially highlighted.
Sulfur's partner may not even have the right to freedom of opinion, let alone action. But here it should be noted that the dictatorship of Sulfur is of a protective and not offensive nature. He protects his peace and, if no one interferes with him, he usually will not attack himself.
This parity is maintained in conditions of separation of the Sulfur family from the parental family. If, God forbid, he is destined to live with his mother-in-law, a showdown cannot be avoided. Sulfur does not recognize the norms of communication. The more you criticize him, the worse the result. The only way to maintain peace in the house is not to question Sulfur’s authority and create good living conditions for him.
Sulfur is indifferent to his own appearance, does not like to wash himself, and looks unkempt. “Old rags are beautiful,” that’s what all homeopathic manuals write about his attitude to things. Sulfur's appearance practically does not depend on the level of his earnings.
Occupying a high position, he may wear worn pants, holey socks, unclean shoes and a stale shirt. It’s good if there’s a well-worn handkerchief in his pocket, otherwise he’ll have to wipe himself with his sleeve and wipe his glasses with the hollow of his jacket.
It must be said that Sulfur is unpretentious in everyday life. His mess cannot be called artistic (like Phosphorus), if only because there is too much dirt and unpleasant odors. There are piles of papers piled on the work table, plates of leftovers here and there, and cigarette ashes everywhere.
Sulfur feeds dry. Maybe, while reading while eating, you won’t notice what you ate. They say that Einstein was once treated to Russian caviar in a restaurant. But during the conversation he couldn’t make out what he was eating, and so when asked: “Well, how’s the caviar?” I was very surprised.
Sulfur is not squeamish, and if a fly falls into his glass, he will throw it away after drinking the contents. Despite its unpretentiousness, it does not tolerate hunger well and becomes aggressive. He can only get along with a housewife who will be happy to clean up after him, bring him food and give him clean linen.
It’s difficult for Sulfur to talk about his positive emotions. Feelings for him are something incomprehensible and unknowable. He never openly confesses his love. At best, it will present you with a fait accompli – then let’s go register. And most often he will simply move to live with his beloved without any explanations or promises for the future.
Sulfur is going through a relationship crisis very hard. He becomes hot-tempered, unrestrained, cruel and absurd. Such a person is not capable of being depressed for a long time and, to get out of the impasse, provokes a scandal. In a situation of divorce, a dissatisfied Sulfur can focus his energies on fighting former relatives. All his rich imagination, coupled with carefully collected incriminating facts, is used to conduct massive “military actions.” It is interesting that in the event of victory, and it is almost always on Sulfur’s side, behind the short-term satisfaction he experiences complete devastation.
The situation looks different when Sulfur finds himself in an environment of sincere goodwill. The feeling of comfort and warmth makes him feel happy. And if at the same time those around him admire his ideas and do not demand participation in household affairs, Sulfur blossoms, becomes charming and even begins to wash himself daily. But such a metamorphosis occurs in the first months of new acquaintance and freshness of feelings. When emotions become habitual, everything returns to normal.
Let's talk about the Sulfur woman. A philosopher, in old dirty rags, indifferent to everyday life and men? Not at all - the female Sulfur differs from representatives of the opposite sex in its greater socialization.
She better assimilates the norms of social behavior. Tries to be friendly and, if possible, not to express unflattering opinions about others. The Sulfur woman is smart and does not hide it. She reads a lot, attends exhibitions and opening days.
The kind of activity that suits her is one in which she does not need to sit at work “from bell to bell” and communicate a lot with colleagues. For example, the work of a consultant, expert, teacher. Financial responsibility and harsh discipline, working in a women's team, are absolutely contraindicated. She will not miss an opportunity to sneer at her boss’s incompetence and sarcastically say that his protégé defended her dissertation “through bed.”
Sulfur herself is in no way a prude and is calm about free sex. But she won’t use the “bed factor” for promotion, because she “has enough brains.” Yes, as a matter of fact, no one is offering her this. They are afraid of intelligence.
The Sulfur woman does not understand the sweet ladies' chatter about clothes, cosmetics and men. She forms her wardrobe according to the target attribute. It forms, and does not select with pleasure. After all, for her this is a necessity, and not a source of pleasant emotions. Sulfurichka has clothes for walking, for the garden and for work. She may prefer various shades of yellow, brown colors, and very rarely red. He loves sportswear, and in extreme cases, just a trouser suit. He practically does not use cosmetics. He has his hair cut short. He doesn’t dye his hair, even when it starts to turn grey.
He communicates with children in a friendly manner. Does not strive to have more than one child. Since childhood, he has been trying to teach his child to think and love nature. She is not inclined to lisp - if a child cries because he has been offended, he will teach him to fight back. He doesn’t scold me for bad grades and doesn’t put pressure on me to choose a path after school. The only thing she wouldn't want to do is become a young grandmother. Because babysitting grandchildren is not her path at all.
Such a woman may be suitable for a thrifty, homely man who creates conditions for her to work highly intellectually. If necessary, he will cook dinner, do laundry, and wash the floor. And this is always necessary.
Such a man is attracted to Sulfur by his intellect and intuitive view of the world. And he suits her with his good nature, cordiality, down-to-earthness. The last quality repels at first, but life puts everything in its place, Sulfurichka understands that for a peaceful existence she needs exactly this earthly man.
As D. Carnegie said: “Not a single woman who deeply and passionately loved a man was, alas, a good housewife.” The second part of this expression is exactly Sulfur. Well, the first one... Try to have an affair with a sulfur woman, and you will understand everything.
In his work life, Sulfur is closer to mastering strategic heights, rather than scrupulously working out details. His thinking is global, but not concentrated. He can be driven to complete the task either by a very strong interest or by cruel necessity.
Sulfur's biggest enemy is the one who tries to diminish his globalism with routine work. And there are always such people - after all, “at work” you need to not only think, but also work. It is very difficult for Sulfur not to violate the deadlines for fulfilling orders, not to be late, to comply with standards of behavior, and to adhere to the required style of clothing.
He throws all kinds of instructions and directives into the trash bin without reading them. After all, a schedule is violence against creativity! He doesn’t like to attend meetings, but if he already attends, he will definitely speak, regardless of faces.
He likes to go on business trips, as it promises new experiences and can serve as an impetus for the development of new ideas. But due to his absent-mindedness, he is capable of missing the train, forgetting his passport at home, and losing money.
In the service, Sulfur is feared for his ability to accurately assess the intellectual level of those around him and for his tendency to speak about it openly and simply: “donkeys,” “blockheads.”
Sulfur will not perform a task whose meaning he does not understand. And he may not understand only what has no logic. The ability to think, according to Sulfur, is the most valuable quality. He can give the most incredible idea the appearance of a logically coherent theory. He believes that his projects should be accepted without modifications. After all, routine is a waste of energy.
Sulfur is not inclined to distribute work over time - it constrains him too much. Makes far-reaching plans, but may miss tactical tasks.
He loves to teach how to do things, but he himself takes part only as an ideologist and initiator. He does not tolerate elaboration of details and always acts only according to his own personal methodology. It is not surprising that he often has to change his place of work, and not always of his own free will.
More details in the books of Dolinina I.V.
Loves to demonstrate his economy and practicality. A compensated Sulfur has a desire to earn money, a desire to maintain his position or go higher. In this case, he can become generous and receive satisfaction from his “breadth”.
The optimal activity for Sulfur is one in which he is independent and self-sufficient. This is a theoretician-strategist, whose developments entail fundamental changes in science and technology.
If intuition prevails, Sulfur can become an inventor-innovator with many patents or an enterprising businessman. If logic predominates, Sulfur is attracted to theoretical constructs that have little connection with reality (philosophy, religion, etc.). Psychotype Sulfur – extroverted logic
SULFUR DISEASES
Decompensated Sulfur comes to the homeopath. He can be fast and active, but at the same time he seems agitated and anxious. Neurasthenia – treatment with homeopathy
This anxiety prevents you from falling asleep in the evening and leads to restlessness, which manifests itself in involuntary movements, turning objects in your hands, hasty eating, and flinching from unexpected sounds. Phobias (fears) - treatment with homeopathy
Sulfur is impetuous, impulsive, hot-tempered and in all this is very similar to Nux vomica. They can be distinguished by their external appearance (Sulfur’s skin looks dirty and his lips are bright red) and by the fact that Nux vomica is a strong-willed logician, and Sulfur is an intuitive logician.
Decompensated Sulfur becomes a hot-tempered, quarrelsome, picky critic. Mania – treatment with homeopathy.
He is stubborn, grumpy, avoids people, gets offended and becomes depressed. In this state, Sulfur may feel miserable and want to die. However, suicide is not typical for him. He cries, the sobs only intensifying from the consolation. Or he remains in deep apathy, when the entire world around him becomes absolutely indifferent. Sulfur completely immerses himself in himself, does not answer questions, and can only pray for the salvation of his soul. Dromomania – treatment with homeopathy
He dreams of approaching death, or of being crushed, being bitten by a dog, being chased by enemies, his body turning black and thinning. Alcoholism – treatment with homeopathy
Taking the homeopathic drug Sulfur has a fairly quick positive effect on such a patient. The treatment harmonizes the patient and allows him to take the best from his constitution. Bulimia, anorexia - treatment with homeopathy

SULFUR IN HISTORY
(Eduard Bagritsky)
Legends about Bagritsky began to take shape during his lifetime, and after his death the image of a poet-dreamer, an enemy of philistinism, a singer of freedom and a lover of nature was created. As N. Dementyev wrote: “the romantics of the old dreamer and bard.” And the literary critic N. Khardzhiev had a slightly different opinion: “The living Edward bears very little resemblance to the canonized effigy. He was lazy, deceitful and, moreover, the most unfaithful friend in the world. But his humor and tender love for poetry made him forgive him a lot.”
Bagritsky (born Dzyubin) spent his childhood on the Black Sea coast, in Odessa. Edward grew up as a beautiful, curly-haired child. He did not try to play with other children, but sat quietly, cutting out figures from paper. He had many wonderful toys, but Edik loved to play with those that he made himself. This is how his penchant for creativity manifested itself at an early age.
Bagritsky learned to read early. I voraciously devoured fantasy, adventure, and historical literature. I was very interested in poetry. I had no idea what I wanted to become, but I knew for sure that I would not be a doctor or a lawyer. The parents already agreed to become an engineer, but Eduard turned out to be absolutely incapable of the exact sciences.
In the first grades he was an excellent student, but from the age of ten he got involved with bad company, abandoned his lessons and disappeared on the street all day long. The adventures of young Bagritsky led to family scenes in which the son often prevailed over his father. Edward did not like to go to school, but, nevertheless, in two subjects - literature and history - he was the best student. And yet, after being left for the second year twice, the future poet was expelled from the seventh grade of a real school.
In his youth, Bagritsky was physically well developed and often prevailed in fights. But he did not like to do physical work and was considered lazy in this regard. At the same time, Edward was capable of prolonged exercise - walking and rowing. In his youth he was very active. I wanted to experience life at all its extremes - I drank a lot, used cocaine and hashish, and embarked on risky voyages on a stormy sea.
After severe bronchitis, from the age of fourteen, Bagritsky began to experience attacks of suffocation. He was later diagnosed with bronchial asthma. Edward was very prone to colds and suffered from pneumonia several times. At the age of twenty, he received a severe blow during a yacht accident. The consequence of this was the habitual dislocation of the left shoulder joint, which then recurred from the most insignificant reasons - even laughter and sneezing.
At the age of fifteen, Bagritsky began writing his first poems. I recited them with pleasure. He was very erudite in poetry, but far from academic. He was a member of the literary-bohemian association “Green Lamp”, which fought against the classics and even criticized Bunin himself, who was visiting Odessa during this period.
At one time, Bagritsky served as an editor at the Black Sea Telegraph Agency. During revolutionary uprisings, he destroyed police stations, then joined the police. He perceived the revolution romantically - he enthusiastically went to catch bandits in Odessa brothels. In November 1917 he suddenly left for Persia as part of a mission from the Union of Relief. I stayed there for three months and returned.
At that time there were whites in Odessa. For about a year, Bagritsky did not serve anywhere, did not do anything except literature. After the arrival of the Reds, he went as an agitator on the propaganda train. He was in a partisan detachment until the summer of 1919. Later he reflected his impressions in the “Duma about Opanas”.
After returning, he completely immersed himself in literary activity. In Odessa, a bohemian company of writers formed - Olesha, Kataev, Shishova, Fioletov. Bagritsky worked at Yug ROSTA and led a reckless nomadic lifestyle. The source of subsistence was academic rations. They lived in absolute poverty and in the most incredible premises - mezzanines and basements.
Bagritsky easily struck up relationships with women and just as easily broke up. He did it without regrets and always tried to ensure that the breakup occurred without any last-minute explanations. That's why he left suddenly.
He loved to flaunt his cynicism. At one of the parties, he made a bet that during an act of love he could read Pushkin’s poems aloud in front of everyone present, and his voice would not waver. Edward won the bet.
In addition to “decent women,” he also visited public ones. But it seems that he did this not always out of a physiological desire, but more often out of a desire to exaggerate and embellish his masculine abilities.
In 1920, he met his future wife, Lydia Suok. The young people were united by a carefree attitude towards everyday life. Bagritsky's wife's sister was married to Olesha. For some time these two families lived in the same room. There was no furnishings whatsoever - a broken table, a couple of chairs, an armful of hay on the floor. At first, Bagritsky’s wife went to work, but, seeing that no one else wanted to do this, she also quit work.
They lived off academic rations and the sale of things they inherited from their parents. Bagritsky wore his mother's voile jacket and two boots on his right foot of different styles and sizes, which some cook gave him. Kataev often came to visit them and spent the night in the middle of the room on the floor.
Later the Bagritskys moved to Odessa. Eduard worked in the cultural department - he acted as an improvisational poet, traveling around Red Army units. He wore a government shirt with a large stamp on the chest. We lived in a walk-through room. His wife Lida carried glass from a huge government cabinet to the market and exchanged it for food.
One day such an incident happened. Bagritsky stayed in a drunken company and was taken away by his friends to Nikolaev in an insane state. Upon arrival, we sent a telegram to my wife about a forced business trip. Edward stayed in the new place for several months.
He became interested in a young girl and moved in with her. To reassure his friend’s mother, he brought a certificate from the newspaper “Red Nikolaev” stating that he and her daughter are husband and wife. Sometimes Edward wrote letters to his real wife and sent money a couple of times. At one point he wanted to see his wife and son and, without any warning, left for Odessa. Many years later, he met his former lover in Moscow. And then he told his wife Lida about his disappointment with how she had aged.
This episode of life is very characteristic for understanding Bagritsky’s true attitude towards women. His romantic interests were superficial, and when his mood changed, he abandoned his female companions without regret. Edward had a strong attachment to his wife, in which his everyday inability to adapt played a large role. Bagritsky loved his son, but in early childhood he did not care for him at all.
The family lived in the most incredible conditions. In one house the roof was leaking, and during the rain the Bagritskys and the baby stood in the doorway so that they would not be completely flooded. This lifestyle was not led even because of extreme need - after all, the parents of the newlyweds were quite wealthy. It all stemmed from indifference to everyday life, unwillingness to run a household and regularly go to work. Bagritsky sometimes even flaunted his negative attitude towards comfort, saying: “If they buy me a desk, I won’t write a single line anymore.”
He also had a negative attitude towards any manifestations of order. Spent time according to my mood. During the day he used to periodically doze off, and at night he often woke up - reading or writing poetry. Easily and willingly switched from one activity to another. Complete chaos reigned in his affairs. I never kept manuscripts and lost documents. When certification was carried out, there were no papers proving his identity. The military ID was lost, and Bagritsky issued a birth certificate for his son only when the boy was getting ready for school. The poet said about himself: “I hate papers and paperwork.”
Perhaps this attitude towards identity cards was explained by a subconscious desire to have a different, more romantic biography. Bagritsky was a great dreamer and invented all sorts of fables about himself. For example, during the population census, when asked about his profession, he said that he worked as a tightrope walker in a circus. And in the nationality column he wrote down his son as a Czech.
The poet romanticized military service, loved to wear a uniform and salute. But he was unable to truly serve, since he organically did not issue any orders. He had a passion for weapons and often started shooting with a small-caliber rifle along the corridor, or even right out of the window. At this time, he probably imagined himself as a dashing brigade commander.
What he lacked in romance in life, he made up for with his passion for books. I read a lot and quickly. He especially loved historical and adventure literature. I was not interested in Marxist philosophy and rarely looked at newspapers.
In his early poetry he acted as a decadent. He composed complex poems about knights and the Flying Dutchman. It turned out to be difficult to correlate reality with dreams. But later Bagritsky would write “Duma about Opanas”, “Conversation with a Komsomol member”, “Death of a Pioneer”, in which he talks about real people and events in the simplest language.
In the mid-20s, the Bagritskys moved to Moscow. The financial situation improves, the desire for a stable, well-organized life appears. Edward works a lot in the genre of realism.
After thirty-five years, his bronchial asthma became severe. It became difficult to move. Attacks of suffocation occurred from any excitement and even minor physical effort.
Eduard Bagritsky died at thirty-nine from pneumonia. His friend Yuri Olesha recalled: “When Bagritsky died, his body was accompanied by a squadron of young cavalrymen. Thus ended the biography of the remarkable poet of our country, which began on the outskirts of life, at the foot of the taverns on Crafts Street in Odessa, and at the end overshadowed by the red banners of the revolution and the figures of horsemen - the same fighters as the poet himself.”
From the point of view of a homeopath, Bagritsky corresponds to the Sulfur type. Sulfur symptoms predominated in his illnesses and character traits. A striking example is the testimony of his wife: “Complete indifference was noted regarding his appearance. He dressed very sloppily and casually, walking around all day in some kind of cotton jacket. His trousers were always unbuttoned because he was stuffy. He was very reluctant to shave and never went to the hairdresser. I didn't like to wash my face. For several years I bathed only twice, although the apartment had a bathroom with hot water. Felt very unhappy when I had to take a bath. For people unaccustomed to him, he looked strange: tousled head, torn appearance, bare legs. There was always a drop hanging under my nose. His acquaintances usually told him: “Edya, wipe away the drop.”
This quote concentrates the physical characteristics of Sulfur. Desire for coolness (bare legs), desire to wear old clothes, intolerance to washing, constant discharge through natural openings (nose).
And the deep sulphurous essence allowed Eduard Bagritsky to be a romantic realist in his youth and remain a realistic romantic until the end of his days. More details in the books of Dolinina I.V. “Character and health”, “Find out your type and get cured”, “Greats and homeopathy”.
Sulfur in homeopathy
Homeopathy uses both pure sulfur and various compounds, including:
- Sulfur iodatum;
- Hepar sulfuris calcareum;
- Acidum sulfuricum;
- Carboneum sulfuricum;
- Magnesium sulfuricum;
- Natrium sulfuricum;
- Zincum sulfuricum;
- Ferrum sulfuricum;
- Mercurius sulphuratus rubber (Cinnabaris);
- Antimonium crudum;
- Antimonium sulfuratum aurantiacum;
- Kalium sulfuricum.
The key component of all compounds is common sulfur. Hahnemann considered it the main way to combat various skin ailments, which were accompanied by itching, rashes, warts and other skin problems. Numerous experiments conducted by the legendary homeopath have shown that Sulfur can be completely dispensed with in the treatment of serious diseases, but for chronic diseases it is simply irreplaceable.
Due to its ability to activate protein metabolism disorders, sulfur has proven effectiveness in combating skin diseases. In addition, it is widely used to treat diseases of the central nervous system.
Analysis of symptoms with hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, carbon disulfide and other sulfur-containing compounds suggests that sulfur can cause headaches and dizziness, general weakness, disorders of the nervous system and musculoskeletal system, sensitivity disorders and psychosis.
The use of sulfur, even in homeopathic doses, requires caution. It is best to avoid taking it for people with impaired sulfur metabolism, as well as those who are susceptible to asthma, eczema or Quincke's edema, since even the 30th dilution of the drug can cause serious consequences.
Effect on the body
In homeopathic doses, the drug has a pronounced effect on the autonomic nervous system. It has anti-inflammatory, absorbable and antibacterial effects.
Under the influence of Sulfur, severe itching appears on the surface of the skin, as well as boils and rashes. It promotes burning of the mucous membranes and the separation of mucus. In addition, sulfur affects the circulatory system. Under its influence, improper distribution of blood occurs, which entails congestion in the chest and head, as well as shortness of breath, redness of various parts of the body, etc. In large dosages, Sulfur has a laxative effect, but in other doses it causes constipation. Diarrhea occurs much less frequently.
Sulfur also manifests itself in rheumatic diseases.
DOSES
No medicine except perhaps Phosphorus
, does not require so many precautions when using it; very frequent and long interruptions in use are always associated with this remedy.
If after using Sulfur
If any rash or itching appears on the skin, this gives great hope for a cure.
In such cases it is good to discontinue all medicines for fear of interfering with the beneficial effects of Sulfur
.
Sulfur is used
in all dilutions; high ones are often more valid.
Indications for use
Sulfur is an important homeopathic remedy in cases where the body does not respond to previously prescribed medications. This drug is highly effective for scrofula, diathesis, chronic runny nose or rheumatism and exanthema. In addition, Sulfur helps well with manifestations of chronic asthma and catarrh of the lungs in elderly people. Indications also include pneumonia, pleurisy and dyspepsia (mainly in alcohol dependent people).
The drug is also prescribed for constipation, which is accompanied by burning and itching in the anus. In this case, sulfur is prescribed as part of complex therapy.
Sulfur is often prescribed for scrofulous ophthalmia, acute catarrhal ophthalmia and conjunctivitis, as well as other eye diseases. Also, as part of complex therapy, the drug is prescribed for influenza. Sulfur has a beneficial effect on patients who, after recovery, feel a strong loss of strength and weakness.
Sulfur (Sulfur)
Description and indications for use of a homeopathic medicine
SULPHUR is a chronic Aconite. In case of exacerbation of type S. give Acon. or Puls. S. relieves any problems of suppression: vaccinations, allopathy, homeopathy. Therefore, he is not appointed first. Disgusting, sensitive to his own smells and the smells of others. Children love to play with Lego, they love chemistry and geometry. For pneumonia, when the skin is red and there are rashes, Sulf helps. There are 2 types of S.: one is a skinny, tall, stooped, chilly, philosophical person. He looks unkempt and dirty. He is a hermit, inventor, scientist, philosopher. The other is a rather robust, full-blooded individual with a red face and dark red lips. According to the two polarities in the physical appearance of the village. Polarities are observed both in the psyche and in character. The first type is inert, lazy. The second type is an enthusiast with increased activity, energetic, life-loving, sexy, and strives to have many friends. One is full of theoretical speculations, the other is a practical idealist. He could be a doctor, cat. treats patients free of charge. He is so energetic that he can see patients from morning until midnight. But he needs to be talked about. Money and wealth do not interest him. Don't offer him money. Tell him how spiritual he is, how selfless he is, and you will become his best friend. You can meet selfless s., others are extremely selfish. Such polarities exist in every medicine. You can date not only a lazy s., but also an exceptionally active type. However, it should be remembered that laziness and activity can replace each other, and in the same person. The MM says that s. extremely unkempt; at the same time, you will be surprised by his extraordinary fastidiousness. One will look tired and scrupulous, the other will look extremely sloppy. This is another manifestation of polarity characteristic of this remedy. At a certain stage, they go beyond their usual, natural state of well-being into a phase of increased activity, which can ultimately break them. Fastidiousness p. reaches pathology, and in this it is similar to Arsenicum. M.b. cases of Sulfur which will develop towards Arsenicum during treatment. The transition to the Arsenicum state is especially often observed in acute cases of sepsis, for example, with bronchitis, diarrhea, hepatitis. If you see that in the acute stage Sulfur shows the symptoms of Arsenicum and you prescribe Arsenicum at that moment, you will get an excellent result. These two tools complement each other well. Other supplements to Sulfur are Aconitum and Nux vom. Nux vom. and Arsenicum have very similar characteristics.
S. has a penchant for technology. S.'s children play with a construction set. He cares about his family. He is a born egoist: he has difficulty responding to requests, even for the slightest favor, and he lacks a sense of gratitude. He can rudely reproach his wife, overloaded with household chores, for some trifle: “What did you do all day?” Everyone owes him. He has a tenacious grasp on the possession of any property, be it money or books. He is a passionate collector. He loves to save, but not out of stinginess, but for the sake of the very idea of saving. He loves second-hand clothes and is indifferent to his appearance and surroundings. When visiting, such people cannot sit at the table without knocking over a cup, or at least dropping a piece - especially women, on their sometimes lush bust. If this happens, then it is almost certain that this woman is Sulfur. They have an aversion to eggs. Severe fear of heights. Children immediately take new toys apart into their component parts, trying to understand what's inside and how it works, but then they usually put them back together. They don’t want to go to bed so as not to miss interesting adult conversations. If the patient's rashes and itching were suppressed by steroids, then S. should not be prescribed immediately after allopathy is discontinued, because this can cause a severe exacerbation with profuse rashes after stopping the medication, you need to observe for a month. Particular care is required for severe skin lesions. In these cases, it is necessary to first achieve improvement with the help of the remedies that the patient used previously, and then slowly and gradually move away from this treatment and only then prescribe S.!!! Sulfur has an irresistible craving for movement, noise, he is full of creative energy, heat, and curiosity. This debater and leader is often very thick-skinned and tough. He has a philosophical mindset, a rare memory, a know-it-all, will put forward compelling arguments on every occasion, and loves to theorize. His mind is inventive and original. These are not empty fabrications. For example, Adam Smith, who read more books than anyone living on earth, was a prolific author in various genres: poetry, essays, prayers, stories, economics. Sulfur is a pedantic scientist, a compiler of some large explanatory dictionaries. This is Vladimir Dal. Hahnemann himself is an excellent illustration of this type: with an explosive character that pushes him into endless contradictions with life and those around him, he is a man of action, a brilliant, courageous mind, with analytical abilities. In company, Sulfur talks a lot and only about what interests him. This is a loud, bright, big man, large, wide, noisy.
Sulfur is inquisitive, strives to penetrate deeply into the subject being studied, to get to the bottom of the truth. The philosopher is wearing the shirt he has been wearing for the last 35 years. He is a scientist who is interested in many subjects. There are piles of books on various topics everywhere in his office, but he never bothers to clear his workspace - he simply does not notice the clutter. He cares only about the issue he is dealing with. He is not interested in what his office looks like. And this reveals one of the characteristic properties of s. - his egoism. He strives to become a leader in his field. He wants to find something that no one has yet discovered. He will continue to work until there are no questions left. He has an inquisitive mind. He has a desire to find out the cause and process of development of a phenomenon. This is the inventor of the perpetual motion machine. He cannot come to terms with the idea that there is something incomprehensible in the world: “I must find a way to understand everything and explain everything.” These are very critical people who “know everything better than others.” This is a manifestation of arrogance. But this work extremely tires his mind. There comes a point when he no longer has the strength to continue research. He stops working, leaving the topic unfinished. But the more his mind gets tired, the more often he thinks that he is the best of people. The inability to cope with reality forces him to increasingly retreat into his unreal world - the world of philosophy and causal relationships. For example, his supervisor suggested that he research a certain topic. His inner curiosity pushes him to study five more related topics instead of focusing on one. Then these topics become 10, 20, his consciousness scatters in all directions, and he finally drowns in a sea of information. He is overworked and does not see the end of his work. He turns to philosophy, arguing that not a single one? no answer. They become convinced that they know everything much better than others and that no one understands them. Criticizes others and points out their mistakes. Boastfulness, conceit. No one will be praised. Doesn't take advice. Fear of infection, will not touch anything dirty. Be sure to immediately wash your hands if you touch anything or shake hands with someone. Disgust is very pronounced - he cannot eat anywhere except his home, believing that all other places are not clean enough. Will not allow his wife to eat from his plate. Fear of death. To alleviate periodic depression, they begin to resort to alcohol. At the village unusually developed laziness. This can often be seen in students when there are no holidays for a long time, they get tired of studying and they put off lessons “for later”, study in periods, and not systematically. Instead of doing his homework, he goes to his friends and philosophizes, discussing certain topics. He is ready to talk about anything. Or, when he has to do homework, he sits down at the table and does nothing. He can't bring himself to do anything. Describing his condition, he will tell you that he would like to work out, but every time it turns out that he is doing something different. He likes to do everything except homework. The Sulfur condition can develop in any person, even in types such as Arsenicum and Natrum mur., which can work systematically, day after day. But, having passed into the state of Sulfur, Natrum mur. will never become typical Sulfur. Sulfur's laziness is a manifestation of selfishness - they only want to do what they like. He may neglect (ignore) his family responsibilities, devoting all his energy to his favorite hobby.
Another Sulfur is full-blooded and energetic. He studies well and will be the best in the group (the first to answer questions, he must always be the first in everything), but he may become overtired, which leads to loss of energy, disappointment, a feeling of insignificance and laziness. "I ruined my career." But pride can force s. resume work. For s. it is important that they praise him, applaud him, tell him how smart he is. This is food for his pride. Narcissistic (narcissist). He is always in the center of a group of friends, he strives for leadership. He instructs and educates, a spiritual teacher, because he is inclined to philosophize, is able to reason on various topics, because... read a lot of books. He is a leader, but only his wife knows that he drinks half a bottle of whiskey a night. She knows that he often tells lies, exaggerates and embellishes many facts, trying to look more significant. His wife does not perceive him as a great teacher. She knows that he never thinks long and hard about anything. Her behavior must be delicate so as not to divorce him. Everyone around him must admit that he is better than everyone else, otherwise he will feel unhappy.
He demonstrates to others his sincere desire to make the world happy. He may feel that he loves all of humanity, but at the same time he does not pay attention to his family. He will help everyone, but under one condition - recognition from others. If this is not the case, he will break off relations with the world. He is kind and humane, selfless. He can sacrifice his life to help others, but behind this there is always a desire to attract attention, a thirst for recognition. Even that man, the cat. studied and criticized everything on his own for many years, cherished the idea that one day the whole world would recognize him and talk about his greatness and genius. Sulfur cannot be described as a romantic person. It is never prescribed in situations where one person is breaking off a relationship and the other is suffering greatly and comes to you for help. The mentality of a Sulfur person is such that he is preoccupied only with himself. Breakup in relationship for s. will imply suffering, but not very severe, and they will soon find someone who will console them. These relationships are not so significant for S., he is a realist. He will tell you that he met an amazing woman whom he now loves. But as soon as the new chosen one stops constantly admiring him and showing enough attention, he will easily find another, etc. He is sexually active, but sex does not play a big role in his life - his life is dedicated to the desire to benefit all humanity. This is very typical for the village. Spirituality plays a big role in his life - if it is lost, disappointment appears. Then he starts looking for a guru, cat. able to believe unconditionally. He will be enthusiastic about the teacher, but if it turns out that the teacher is not who he says he is, he will have depression, thoughts of his worthlessness, hopelessness of life and sometimes suicide. But when romantic relationships fail, depression rarely occurs.
Key symptoms for prescribing Sulfur. 1. From the side of the head: headaches in the area of the crown of the head, burning pain. Headaches that appear every Sunday when the patient does not have to go to work. “I only get headaches on days when I can rest and sleep.” He is worse when he sleeps too long - a goal appears. pain. It's worse when he sleeps on his back - in this position he has nightmares, from which he wakes up in fright. Sulfur can cure most cases of sleep disorders. 6. The condition worsens significantly when the sky is covered with clouds and the sun's rays barely break through the clouds. Mainly cloudy.
Their washing process is curious: they are not completely immersed in the bath. It seems to them that they do not have time for such a long procedure. He believes that he will certainly catch a cold after the bath. This is the key sm! He will wash only certain parts of the body, not seeing the point in washing the whole body. He is prone to theorizing, his mind is filled with an abundance of ideas, and everything else is not important to him! His wife and friends are obliged to serve him. Everyone must take care of him so that he can do his research. That's why he never has time to take a bath. He also does not like washing in the bathroom because water makes him much worse (Clematis erecta). The rash is worse from water. S. is unusually dirty and yet cannot stand any dirt around him. This contrast is characteristic of Sulfur.
For Sulf. Taking care of the family is important and for its well-being, he is ready to do anything!
Patients with. they love sweets (predisposition to diabetes), fatty foods (cooked fat), starchy foods, and a strong desire for spicy foods. Strong desire for alcohol, especially whiskey. Nitricum, Phosphor.) and sometimes they do not like sweets. Aversion to salt and fish.
The mental state caused by syphilis is very similar to Sulfur, which is why it is often indicated with. In repeated cases of gonorrhea, it is often not Medorrhinium that is indicated, but Sulfur.

Child s. will scream and kick when his mother bathes him. At night, in their sleep, they throw off the blanket and stick their feet out from under it. They are unkempt, and even an adult with. always finds a way to spill food on his clothes. Leaders among peers. They might very picky in choosing friends. They are restless and the doctor's office is a terrible mess after their visit. The boy has many warts on his hands. (The child is sociable, extroverted, mischievous, climbs everywhere. Plays on his own. Easily gets along with children. He is comfortable everywhere (Meta)). Severe jaundice of newborns – Sulfur 30 or 200.
Sulfur may be prescribed when there are few or no symptoms. For example, after treating a patient with a constitutional remedy, his symptoms have disappeared, but he does not feel very healthy (suppression?). But it is not prescribed in an acute case, when, for example, there is only fever and no other symptoms. He is worse when he stands, but he has no weakness. Do not drink chamomile tea. Can be chilly, especially in old age! It may be worse from the cold! Cataract of the left eye. Headache when bending over. Burning on top of head. Acute pain in the neck when bending the head forward.
Meta: Key Thread – Pseudo. Everything is false, false. False philosopher. Ambitious - wants to prove that he is a great philosopher, scientist. Disappointment when not recognized. Externally punctual, but internally carefree. Outwardly religious are Pharisees: it’s all a show, inside there is no faith. Superficial knowledge in many sciences, but no deep knowledge. He wants to show himself as an erudite, but in reality he is a charlatan (Calc., Plat., Lyc.). Arrogant. Doesn't finish the job. Passionate, addicted. Religious. Leadership qualities, but he is not a leader! Stupid joy and stupid pride. His place in society matters. Hides what he really is. He takes on everything, but doesn’t really know how to do anything. Sits relaxed, leaning back or reclining on the table. When saying goodbye, he touches his palm without shaking it. Prophetic dreams.
S.'s main feeling is that he is insulted, suppressed, humiliated and criticized. This is a man created to be humiliated and his pride hurt. Confusion is one of S’s main feelings. For this reason, he struggles, makes continuous efforts to rise again, to be someone, to know something, to gain respect. He feels that he is expected to look good, have good connections, and be successful in his business. If he does not succeed in all these areas, he is forced to face contempt and becomes very embarrassed. He fights for his own “I” and his honor. Ego is one of S.'s largest themes, effort is one of his most important actions. His feeling and this effort indicate psora - S. has some hope. His goal is not too high, so he is often an optimist. S. has a desire to do business, earn money and achieve material well-being. He has a feeling that he is poor, and this feeling gives rise to efforts to overcome this poverty and earn money. In case of failure, laziness and powerlessness appear. Delusion: old rags look like silk. There is satisfaction in this, no more actions are taken to try to get out of this situation. Indifference to one's own appearance, to the success of others, to business, to everything, including pleasure. S. is idleness and a disregard for everything. In a compensated state, he passionately strives for perfection. A woman of this type is very attentive to her clothes and does not allow herself to be out of fashion so that no one can find any flaws in her. People like S. m.b. are very concerned about how they appear to others. They have a feeling that if their image is imperfect, they will be despised. They are concerned about not looking dirty, so they take a lot of effort to maintain external cleanliness. On the other hand, they may neglect their appearance and will not care whether they look dirty or not. They feel insulted when they don't know something and try to make up for their ignorance by constructing theories. It is important for them to treat themselves well, because... they have a feeling that they are unimportant people, that they are out of favor. They are very sensitive to criticism, to contempt and insult. Each of them lives in their own world, they may. They are pleased with themselves when they imagine that they have great knowledge, great wealth, that they look good in the eyes of others. They imagine that others value them for who they are and what they have. Patients feel that they are expected to have good relationships with people, so they are overly caring and do a lot for others. Children of type S often touch objects, as if only those things that they can touch really exist. Dreams of being chased by wild animals. Intolerance to hunger, especially before noon. Touches objects; does not know whether it is real until it touches the object. Cataract of the left eye. Desire for raw food. Skin cracks in winter.

Instructions for use
As with any other homeopathic medicine, taking Sulfur without first consulting a doctor is not recommended. The dosage directly depends on the diagnosis and condition of the patient. The most common are Sulfur in dilutions C30 and C6. As practice shows, high dilutions are more effective.
Experts recommend starting treatment with C12 dilution. Further, depending on the dynamics and response of the patient’s body to treatment, the doctor may either prescribe a higher or lower dilution. In chronic cases, the use of 200x dilutions is allowed, and in case of sluggish rashes, lower dilutions are prescribed.
The duration of the course of using the ointment is up to 10 days. It is recommended to apply it before bed to the affected areas of the skin.
Side effects and contraindications
Some patients experience increased symptoms of the disease for which Sulfur was prescribed. In this case, this indicates its effectiveness, so there is no reason to refuse to take this drug. If new symptoms appear that are not characteristic of the initial diagnosis or manifestation of an allergic reaction, you should seek advice from a medical institution. He must review the regimen or dosage of the drug, or completely replace it with another one.
If the patient has severe oozing, it is not recommended to use the drug. In addition, it is contraindicated in cases of pulmonary tuberculosis, increased individual sensitivity to sulfur preparations, as well as in conditions that may be dangerous after opening abscesses and suppurations.
Sulfur is approved for use during pregnancy as prescribed by the attending physician. Many women in an interesting position confirm its effectiveness in treating toxicosis, as well as prolonged contractions.
An overdose of the drug is impossible. If the patient has drunk a quantity of granules significantly exceeding the prescribed dosage, he can be offered strong tea or coffee as an antidote.
The drug is incompatible with alcohol and alcohol-containing drugs, as well as caffeine and alkaloids. Efficiency decreases when used together with cytostatics and glucocorticosteroids.
If a patient takes Sulfur for more than 14 days and does not notice any positive dynamics, he should contact the doctor who prescribed this drug. The treatment regimen probably needs to be revised.
Diabetics taking Sulfur granules should be informed about the sugar content in them (the daily dose of the drug contains 0.08 bread units).

Indications for the drug Gepar sulfur
Key symptoms for prescribing the drug
- purulent inflammation; - hypersensitivity to pain (intolerance to any touch to the area of inflammation) and cold; - sensation of painful pulsation; - increased sensitivity of the scalp to touch; - pain in the ears when blowing your nose; - sore throat, radiating to the ears.
Main clinical applications
Hepar sulfur is indicated primarily for inflammatory processes and/or suppuration of any localization.
In acute pathology, a common symptom is increased sensitivity of the affected areas and improvement with local application of heat.
In chronic pathology, in the presence of suppuration, a common symptom is the unpleasant odor of pus.
Dermatology
- boils, abscesses, carbuncles, hidradenitis, impetigo and purulent rashes. The method of administration must be followed exactly, on the one hand, due to the opposite effect of low and high dilutions, on the other hand, depending on the stage of suppuration:
- dilutions of C5 favor the separation of pus or the formation of an abscess; — dilutions of C30 promote the resorption of pus; — C9 dilutions act depending on the clinical stage.
For this reason, weak dilutions of Hepar sulfur should not be used if suppuration occurs in a closed cavity or if there is insufficient outflow of pus.
The repetition of techniques depends on the prescribed dilution and the goal being pursued.
- pustular acne; - herpes; — chronic skin staphylococcal infection; - ulcers of the lower extremities, hypersensitive to touch, bleeding easily, with possible purulent discharge.
Otorhinolaryngology
- acute hyperalgic laryngitis, hoarseness, dull and “barking” cough after severe hypothermia; profuse sweating does not bring relief to the patient; - rhinitis and mucopurulent rhinopharyngitis; - adenoiditis; - erythematous-purulent tonsillitis; - purulent rhinosinusitis, chronic sinusitis, aggravated in winter and from cold; - acute otitis media, suppuration from the ear.
Pulmonology
- tracheobronchitis with a dry and muffled cough, which then becomes wet; cough worsens at the beginning and end of the night, from cold air, cold drinks, hypothermia; - catarrhal tracheobronchitis; - bronchitis, causing dyspnea, with a tendency to superinfection, dilatation of the bronchi.
Dentistry
- dental abscess (suppuration should be drained as soon as possible); - prevention of single-gene infections, with the exception of prevention of infective endocarditis.
Ophthalmology
- purulent conjunctivitis; - barley;
Pediatrics
- infantile diarrhea (sticky greenish stool with a strong odor); — purulent processes; - behavioral disorders.
