Long-term use of high doses of vitamin B6 can cause the development of peripheral neuropathy.

Directions for use and doses

The tablets should be kept in the mouth until completely dissolved.

Children from 7 years old:

1 tablet once a day after meals.

For poor appetite, the child should be given 1 tablet per day for 2 months.

PIKOVIT FORTE (tablets)

Acevt offered to buy Pikovit Forte for the child with age-appropriate dosages, I very willingly agreed.
The box states that the vitamins are suitable for children aged 7 to 14 years (this inscription is covered with the price tag, bottom right). The price of the drug is very affordable (only 203 rubles). Compared to analogues, the option is completely budget-friendly. And the quality of these vitamins is good, Pikovit is a very well-known brand, and has been for decades. These vitamins are produced in Slovenia (that is, in Europe), so their compliance with strict European standards is beyond doubt.

I am also posting a scan of the instructions so that you can enlarge and read if necessary. It contains only 11 vitamins, but only the most essential ones. Although it would be nice if the composition contained iodine and more calcium. In my opinion.

The package contains 30 bright orange tablets, just enough for one month of use. Conveniently, you only need to take one tablet per day. Because vitamins consisting of two or more multi-colored tablets that need to be taken 3 times a day somehow do not take root with us. The daughter simply forgets to take them according to the required schedule, and confusion arises. With Pikovit, everything is clear and understandable; taking 1 tablet in the morning is not at all difficult, even for a child. And you don't have to guess anything. There is no need to remember whether it was red, blue or white last time?

The tablets themselves are quite large, approximately 1.5 cm in diameter, convex on both sides. The smell appears only during the process of resorption. The manufacturer writes that tangerine flavoring has been added. Tangerine or not, the smell of Pikovit Forte vitamins is in any case fruity and quite tolerable. Again, I judge by analogues. "Vitrum Junior", unfortunately, does not have such a pleasant aroma, although the composition of this drug is much richer. The smell of Pikovit is much more pleasant and the child likes it more.

The taste of the vitamin tablet is sweet and also quite decent (in comparison with the same “Vitrum Junior”). My daughter even takes these vitamins with pleasure. There was just the last tablet left in the package. The month of treatment went absolutely fine. I have never observed allergies, constipation, staining of teeth or other unpleasant moments. In terms of efficiency, I can only say one thing. At the beginning of February, after an illness, we got a solid “4” in physical education. The inevitable loss of strength after a viral infection took its toll. And in the last two weeks we got a solid “5” in physical education. I think that the merit of the vitamin complex “Pikovit Forte” is also in this. Good vitamins, effective, safe and age-appropriate. Naturally, I recommend it. Interaction

Vitamin C enhances the effect and side effects of antimicrobial agents from the sulfonamide group (including the appearance of crystals in the urine).

Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) reduces the antiparkinsonian effect of levodopa, as well as the effects of steroid hormones.

Isoniazid increases urinary excretion of pyridoxine.

Cycloserine, hydralazine and penicillamines are antagonists of vitamin B6.
