Combination of Remaxol with other drugs

A significant advantage is that the active substances of the drug are perfectly combined with cardiac glycosides. Due to this interaction, the duration of the medication increases and better results can be achieved.

It is strictly forbidden to use the medicine with alkaloids.

This combination forms insoluble compounds, as a result of which significant harm will be caused to the patient’s body.

The product combines negatively with tannin. A precipitate appears, and this substance also neutralizes the properties of Remaxol. While taking the medication, it is recommended to stop smoking and completely avoid drinking alcohol.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Pharmacodynamics

REMAXOL® is a balanced infusion solution with a hepatoprotective effect. Under the influence of the drug, the transition of anaerobic processes to aerobic ones is accelerated, the energy supply of hepatocytes is improved, the synthesis of macroergs increases, the resistance of hepatocyte membranes to lipid peroxidation increases, and the activity of antioxidant enzymes is restored. REMAXOL® reduces cytolysis, which is manifested in a decrease in indicator enzymes: aspartate aminotransferases, alanine aminotransferases. REMAXOL® helps reduce bilirubin and its fractions, improves the excretion of direct bilirubin into bile. Reduces the activity of excretory enzymes of hepatocytes - alkaline phosphatase and gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase, promotes the oxidation of cholesterol into bile acids.

The paper presents the results of multicenter randomized clinical trials, evaluating the effectiveness of the remaxol infusion solution as a hepatoprotective agent for chronic liver damage, conducted at 7 clinical sites. 494 patients suffering from chronic hepatitis B and C were observed. 294 people received Remaxol, 200 people received active placebo. Randomization was carried out using the “envelope” method. The article describes in detail the clinical and laboratory characteristics of the manifestations of the disease. The effect of the drug in comparison with an active placebo on the functional activity of the liver of patients with chronic liver damage is presented. Based on the obtained laboratory and clinical data, the mechanism of action of the drug is described, including hepatoprotective activity, antioxidant effect and anticholestatic effect.
