pharmachologic effect

Centrum A-Zn (from A to Zinc) is a combined multivitamin preparation with macro- and microelements, the effect of which is determined by the complex of vitamins and minerals included in its composition. Retinol (vitamin A) and beta-carotene are powerful antioxidants that protect cellular structures from destruction by free radicals. Participate in the formation of visual pigments; ensure the integrity of epithelial tissues and regulate bone growth. Tocopherol (vitamin E) is an antioxidant. Provides protection of unsaturated fatty acids in membranes from lipid peroxidation. Participates in the formation of intercellular substance, connective tissue fibers, vascular smooth muscles, and the digestive tract. Maintains a healthy cardiovascular system and ensures normal muscle functioning. Colecalciferol (vitamin D3) regulates the metabolism of calcium and phosphorus in the body, as well as the process of building bone structure; promotes calcium absorption in the intestines. B vitamins are involved in the body's energy production and metabolism, and strengthen the nervous system. Thiamine (vitamin B1) as a coenzyme is involved in carbohydrate metabolism and the functioning of the nervous system (a necessary factor for the transmission of nerve impulses). Riboflavin (vitamin B2) is the most important catalyst for the processes of cellular respiration and visual perception. Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) as a component of coenzyme A plays an important role in the processes of acetylation and oxidation of carbohydrates and fats. Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) as a coenzyme takes part in the metabolism of amino acids and proteins and in the synthesis of neurotransmitters. Cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12), together with folic acid, is involved in the synthesis of nucleotides; takes part in the formation of red blood cells and nerve sheath cells, necessary for the growth of the body. Nicotinamide (vitamin PP) is involved in the processes of tissue respiration, fat and carbohydrate metabolism. Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) ensures collagen synthesis; participates in the metabolism of folic acid and iron, plays an important role in the synthesis of steroid hormones and catecholamines, and strengthens the immune system. Biotin (vitamin H) plays an important role in the metabolism of carbohydrates and fatty acids. Folic acid is necessary for normal erythropoiesis; takes part in the synthesis of amino acids. Phytomenadione (vitamin K) takes part in blood clotting processes. Iron is involved in erythropoiesis and, as part of hemoglobin, ensures the transport of oxygen to tissues. Calcium is necessary for the formation of bone tissue and teeth; provides blood clotting processes. Zinc is involved in the metabolism of nucleic acids, proteins, fats, carbohydrates, and hormones. Potassium is involved in maintaining intracellular osmotic pressure and in the processes of conducting nerve impulses; plays an important role in metabolism and muscle function, incl. myocardium. Magnesium promotes muscle relaxation and the utilization of vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus, sodium and potassium. Phosphorus plays an important role in metabolic processes, energy metabolism, bone tissue formation, and growth processes. Copper is involved in tissue respiration, hematopoiesis, and immune reactions. Iodine is necessary for the synthesis of hormones and the proper functioning of the thyroid gland. Chromium is involved in the processes of regulating blood glucose levels and the hormonal status of the body. Manganese affects the development of bone tissue, participates in tissue respiration and immune reactions. Molybdenum is involved in redox reactions and can act as an enzyme cofactor. Selenium is involved in the regulation of tissue elasticity and has an antioxidant effect. Nickel is an important element that is part of biological systems (it is believed that it is part of specific metalloenzymes). Silicon is involved in the development and maintenance of connective tissue function and is necessary for the biosynthesis of collagen and the process of bone mineralization. Biotin and silicon are essential for maintaining healthy hair, skin and nails. Vanadium helps maintain a stable state of hemoglobin and is involved in the processes of growth and reproductive function.

Drug interactions and compatibility with alcohol

Today, dozens of different vitamin complexes are available in pharmacies, which can be purchased without a prescription. But not all of them are compatible with each other. The drug "Centrum" is not recommended to be combined with other drugs - only it should be taken during the entire course of therapy.

Ethyl alcohol molecules require a large amount of energy and vitamins to be broken down by the body. Therefore, during the treatment course you should abstain from drinking alcoholic beverages for at least a month. This is especially important for patients recovering from serious illnesses, surgeries, and infections.

Reviews about Centrum Children's

As numerous discussions among parents on various children's forums and websites show, many of them give their children various vitamins. At the same time, reviews about Centrum Children's are quite rare.

The main reason for this lies in the fact that mothers choose vitamin complexes for their babies that are not only attractive in composition, but also in form. Therefore, they prefer Vitamishki in the form of bears or Supradin Kids in the form of fish and starfish.

Everyone who has chosen Centrum Children's for their children often leaves positive reviews about it. Pediatricians often prescribe it, and children really like it.

In isolated cases, it is reported that taking this drug had to be stopped because the child began to complain of weakness and dizziness.

In any case, vitamin complexes can only be taken as prescribed by a pediatrician. You must first undergo tests that will determine the deficiency of certain substances in the child’s body.
