The series - medicinal properties, contraindications and photos

Most people know the series as a means for bathing babies, protecting delicate baby skin from rashes and diaper rash. But the medicinal properties of the string do not end there; it can treat diseases of internal organs, in addition, it helps with neurological problems.

It is also used in cosmetology to treat pimples and acne.

What healing properties does this useful herb have, and how to use it correctly for treatment, can be found in this article.

Healing composition

The series is notable for the fact that despite the presence of a whole range of beneficial properties, it has a minimum of contraindications. The chemical composition of the plant is simply amazing with its range of rare components. It contains:

  • carotene;
  • polysaccharides;
  • essential oils;
  • coumarin;
  • tanning components;
  • pigmenting substances;
  • vitamin group (B and C);
  • minerals;
  • mucus and bitterness;
  • flavonoids (heterocyclic compounds) and many other substances.

The maximum concentration of beneficial ingredients accumulates in the leaves and upper part of the stem. Of course, such a rich set of useful components provides a number of outstanding medicinal characteristics:

  1. Choleretic properties help improve the functioning of the liver and bile ducts.
  2. The diuretic effect is used in the treatment of genitourinary problems.
  3. The aseptic and anti-inflammatory qualities make the series indispensable in the treatment of skin problems: diathesis, seborrhea, open wounds, acne.
  4. The calming effect helps get rid of the effects of neuroses and stress, and reduces blood pressure.
  5. When treating wounds, their rapid healing is ensured by the regenerative capabilities of the plant.
  6. Even relatively massive bleeding is stopped with the help of a series.
  7. Essential oils destroy pathogenic microflora, as well as fungus.
  8. Tanning agents relieve excessive sweating.
  9. Vitamin C, which is found in large quantities in the herb, activates the hormonal system, improves metabolism, and strengthens immune resources.
  10. Zinc stimulates appetite, and manganese prevents the development of thrombosis.

If you make a complete list of the advantages of the series, you will get a very impressive list. But the characteristics indicated here are quite enough to convince yourself of the usefulness of this plant. Of course, the medicinal herb has not yet been fully studied, but it is known for certain that residents of Asian countries use the herb as an antidote after snake bites.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding

With the onset of pregnancy, hormonal levels change dramatically, which leads to the appearance of skin problems - increased dryness, rashes. Since expectant mothers need to reduce the use of medications to a minimum so as not to harm the fetus, they can use a series during this period. You can make masks from it, use a decoction instead of lotion.

You can wash yourself with it if you have thrush, but not longer than 5 days, so as not to dry out the mucous membrane.

This herb can also be used during lactation. But these recommendations apply only to those women who do not have individual intolerance to the substances included in the chemical composition of the plant

Series - chemical composition

Tripartite herb is used for medicinal purposes. This plant must be distinguished from other relatives, since there are several types of them, and only one effectively treats.

Medicinal herb tripartite series

The medicinal plant species has three-lobed serrated leaves on the cuttings (hence the name of the species). Flower baskets do not have marginal petals, only tubular ones. These characteristic features are clearly visible in the photo. Without knowing the specific distinctive features of the medicinal plant species, it is better not to collect it yourself, but to buy raw materials at the pharmacy, because some species are poisonous.

The medicinal herb is collected in the first half of June before flowering, cutting off 10–15 cm of leafy tops or side branches without thorny fruiting baskets.

Dried Tripartite herb

Dry, like other medicinal raw materials, in well-ventilated, shaded places, spread out in a thin layer and turning daily, or in a dryer (temperature no more than 40 - 45 degrees). Drying is completed when the stems begin to break. Dry raw materials have a specific smell, tart, slightly pungent taste. Can be stored for up to 2 years without loss of healing properties.

The chemical composition is very rich, the herb contains:

  • Lots of carotene and ascorbic acid.
  • Macroelements – potassium, calcium, magnesium.
  • Microelements - copper, zinc, manganese, iron, chromium, selenium, boron, aluminum, nickel. Manganese can be transferred into aqueous infusions and decoctions.
  • Tannins (close to 5%), bitterness, mucus.
  • Flavonoids (more than 10 substances - luteolin, cinaroside, butein, sulfuretin, sulfurin, scopoletin and others).
  • Polysaccharides, essential oils, amines, coumarins.

What does a sequence look like?

Cherena is an inconspicuous-looking annual grass. Under favorable growing conditions, the stem of this plant reaches 60 cm. The flowers are single, usually yellow, and can be on the stem or on the branches. The leaves are located on short shoots.

The string can be found almost everywhere, with the exception of the Far North. The genus of this herb has about 200 different species. Meanwhile, only one of them is valued as a medicine - a three-part series. This species got its name due to the fact that all its leaves are divided into 3 small lobes. Tripartite prefers moist soil, so it is easiest to find on the banks of rivers and lakes, as well as in swamps. Flowering of this plant usually lasts from June to September.

The string can not only be purchased ready-made at the pharmacy, but also collected and dried yourself. To do this, cut off the top of the stems and shoots no longer than 15 cm, as well as the leaves. The medicinal plant is collected only in the first two weeks of June, that is, during the formation of buds. Next, the shoots and leaves are laid out in a thin layer on paper and dried in a shady place, turning over often. When the stems become brittle, drying can be completed.

Useful qualities of the string

Thanks to its reserves of vitamins and other components important for the normal functioning of the body, this useful herb is indispensable in many situations.

For example, it perfectly relieves fatigue, improves breathing, quickly copes with fever and has a beneficial effect on the nervous system. A series is always useful for heart problems: medications based on it reduce blood pressure and stimulate the contractile activity of the heart.

There is no equal to the miracle plant when you need to get rid of the consequences of allergies. For this purpose, it is recommended to use only fresh plants.

In addition to the listed capabilities, the series also has a whole arsenal of excellent qualities. The healing herb has the following effects on the body:

  • normalizes digestive processes;
  • stimulates wound healing;
  • has diuretic properties;
  • ensures normal outflow of bile;
  • strengthens immune forces;
  • has a powerful anti-inflammatory effect;
  • promotes normal heat exchange;
  • regulates sweating.

For medicinal purposes, dried raw materials are more often used, but if you want to achieve a greater effect from treatment, it is better to take a freshly picked plant for preparing medicinal compositions.

Useful properties of the string

The plant has many therapeutic properties: sedative, antipyretic, diaphoretic, biliary, antiallergenic, diuretic, hemostatic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, wound healing, strengthening, antitoxic. Thanks to the choleretic effect, the functions of the liver and biliary tract return to normal. Diuretic properties help with diseases of the kidneys and genitourinary system.

Psoriasis, urticaria, acne, wounds, ulcers, seborrhea are cured due to the presence of bactericidal and anti-inflammatory substances in the herb. Thanks to the vitamin C content, the plant helps eliminate allergic reactions, immune deficiency, and viral infections.

The anti-inflammatory effect is used to treat colds and problems with the genitourinary system. The diaphoretic properties allow you to successfully cope with high temperatures.

For what diseases is it recommended to use the herb?

The sequence acts so gently in the right direction that it has virtually no contraindications. This herb is widely used along with traditional medicine to treat a huge number of diseases. It is used internally in the form of decoctions and infusions, as well as externally. The sequence gives excellent results in the treatment of:

  • skin diseases;
  • respiratory diseases;
  • arthritis;
  • various pathologies of the female genital area;
  • diseases of the urinary system;
  • nervous disorders;
  • anemia;
  • vascular dysfunctions;
  • liver diseases.

There are different methods for preparing dosage forms using a series, and each of them is aimed at solving a specific problem. For example, since the string contains bitterness, the extract from the herb has a healing effect on the skin and liver. The presence of a vitamin complex provides a good result in the treatment of anemia.

Description

More than two hundred species belong to the genus Bidens of the Compositae family, and only one of them, Bidens tripartita, is a medicinal plant. Most others are poisonous, and attempts to use them for treatment can lead to poisoning. To prevent this from happening, you need to know what a tripartite sequence looks like.

Tripartite sequence

Herbaceous bushes in a series of tripartite up to one meter high are covered with narrow leaves with a serrated edge on short petioles. Each leaf has a long central part and two shorter lateral parts, which gave the name to the species - a tripartite series. Dusty yellow basket inflorescences surrounded by green narrow leaves appear at the ends of the shoots and in the axils of the leaves.

Tripartite series belongs to the hygrophytes; it grows in wetlands, gently sloping banks of lakes and rivers, and flooded meadows, forming difficult-to-pass clumps. It is also found in irrigated fields and vegetable gardens, like a weed. For normal development, this annual plant needs warmth; it does not grow in cold climates.

Treatment of gynecological diseases

The beneficial properties of the string are actively used in the complex therapy of inflammatory gynecological diseases.

Baths or douching are used for pathologies such as:

  • vulvitis;
  • colpitis;
  • bartholinitis;
  • cervicitis.

This is interesting: colpitis: symptoms and treatment in women

Procedures with a series fight inflammation, thereby reducing the intensity of unpleasant symptoms - itching, burning, pain, discharge.

For douching, you need to prepare a decoction in a water bath at the rate of: 2 tbsp. spoons of string per half liter of water. Then strain the resulting mixture, it is important that the liquid is clean and transparent, and let cool to 33-34 degrees. After cooling, you can begin douching itself.

The procedure can be performed 1-2 times during the day, preferably in the morning and evening or only in the evening. The course of therapy should not exceed 5 days, otherwise a detrimental effect on the vaginal mucosa will begin.

List of contraindications

The list of contraindications is small; it includes only a few items. You cannot use a sequence in any form if:

  1. A person previously had an intolerance to this plant.
  2. It is not recommended to give medicinal solutions to children in the first three years of life.
  3. Expectant mothers are also prohibited from taking medications internally in the 2nd and 3rd trimester, as well as during breastfeeding.

It should be noted that pregnant women can easily use products for external use if they are not allergic to this type of plant.

Contraindications for taking in succession

Despite all the medicinal properties of the string, some groups of people are undesirable to take products with this herb:

  • hypotensive people (people with stable low blood pressure) – a series can lower blood pressure, but in hypotensive people it is already low. His fall can lead to loss of consciousness and the development of collapse;
  • pregnant women – pregnant women are not recommended to take medications and herbs at all;
  • children under three years of age;
  • people with individual intolerance to the sequence.

In addition, the sequence inhibits the activity of the nervous system, so you should not use it before driving a car or doing work that requires increased attention and quick reaction.

An overdose can cause irritation of the gastrointestinal mucosa, diarrhea, low blood pressure, and allergic reactions.

Side effects

With long-term use of healing solutions, there is a risk of developing side effects, which are manifested by the following symptoms:

  • drop in blood pressure;
  • fast fatiguability;
  • frequent bouts of irritability;
  • digestive disorders;
  • panic attacks;
  • depressive states;
  • insomnia.

In order for the treatment to be beneficial and not result in additional problems, it is necessary to agree with the doctor on the method of treatment, its duration and safe dosage.

What are the benefits of string grass?

Scrofulous herb has a pronounced diuretic and diaphoretic effect, promotes good digestion, and improves metabolic processes. Due to the high content of manganese, it has a beneficial effect on hematopoiesis and the blood clotting system, improves the functioning of the endocrine system. Oil extract forms from the string contain a large amount of fat-soluble vitamin A, due to which they have a distinct anti-inflammatory and regenerative effect. And tanning components, represented in a series mainly by polyphenols, give this wonderful plant reliable bactericidal capabilities.

For internal and external use, succession grass is used for the following diseases:

  • Diseases caused by metabolic disorders;
  • Rheumatic changes;
  • Osteochondrosis;
  • Inflammation of the bronchi;
  • Indigestion;
  • Violation of bone integrity;
  • Skin diseases;
  • Malignant formations;
  • Diseases of the liver and biliary tract;
  • Colds;
  • Inflammatory diseases of the female genital area;
  • Hypertonic disease;
  • Allergic conditions.

To treat rickets, diseases of the joints and bones, diathesis, and furunculosis, the series is used externally in the form of baths and lotions. To treat wounds and inflammatory processes on the skin, use a powder of dry string grass or its fresh leaves.

Composition and properties

The ends of stems and shoots with leaves are harvested as medicinal raw materials. The string owes its medicinal properties to its chemical composition:

  • polyphenols and other tannins;
  • manganese;
  • carotene;
  • vitamin C.

Due to the high content of manganese ions and vitamin C, the string has a beneficial effect on metabolism. As a result of its intake, the functioning of the endocrine glands improves, hematopoiesis processes are activated, and the composition of the blood improves.

Carotene, contained in large quantities in the herb, in the form of oil extracts, is well absorbed by the body and acts as an anti-inflammatory and wound-healing agent.

The abundance of polyphenols and other tannins ensures the high bactericidal activity of the drugs. This herb also normalizes the gastrointestinal tract and produces a diuretic and diaphoretic effect.

Traditional recipes with a string

The pharmaceutical industry has long established the production of finished raw materials. The succession for these purposes is grown in environmentally friendly areas using special technology.

The procurement of medicinal raw materials is also carried out in accordance with current quality standards. In pharmacies you can purchase a ready-made tincture or a dry component. Those who are well acquainted with this useful herb collect it themselves at a strictly allotted time.

It is necessary to comply with all requirements regarding the cultivation, collection and storage of the workpiece. If this is not done, the herb will lose its medicinal qualities.

The traditional medicine collection contains a large number of recipes using a series. We present only the most popular of them, used in various fields of medicine.

Pediatrics

  1. Therapeutic baths.Perhaps the most famous recipe is an infusion for bathing babies. Modern mothers, just like their great-grandmothers once did, always add an infusion of string to the water when bathing newborns and infants. The product is prepared as follows: pour boiling water (0.6 l) over 15 g of dry raw material, wrap it up and leave to steep for 12 hours. Before bathing, the solution must be filtered. The volume obtained from this recipe is enough for a baby bath. If the baby loves space and is used to bathing in a large bath, the quantitative composition of the ingredients should be doubled. Healing baths help get rid of diathesis and manifestations of atopic dermatitis. Pediatricians recommend decoctions as a preventative against prickly heat.
  2. With chickenpox. This disease is often accompanied by profuse rashes, which are initially painful and then burst, causing unbearable itching. To relieve this symptom, which usually coincides with the cessation of new rashes, it is recommended to give the sick child warm baths with string and chamomile. Both components are taken in equal proportions – 30.0 each. The dry mixture is poured with boiling water (1 liter) and infused for 2 hours. Before bathing the baby, the entire volume is poured into the bath, the water temperature in which should not be higher than 38 degrees. The duration of the procedure is 5-10 minutes. Therapeutic baths are done until the crusts on the pustules fall off.

Important point: After bathing the child, you should not dry it with a towel; you need to let the skin dry.

In gynecology

For female problems of an inflammatory nature, sitz baths in succession quickly eliminate signs of inflammation. You can use a douching solution prepared for external use.

Cooking sequence: a string (20g) is poured into a glass of boiling water. After two hours of infusion, it is filtered. The prepared product can be drunk to normalize hormonal levels in case of menstrual irregularities. You can add yarrow and motherwort to the composition in the same ratio as succession grass.

For the treatment of colds and coughs

The ability of the series to reduce temperature and improve sweating is used in the treatment of bronchitis, runny nose, other viral diseases and the common cold. In such a situation, both an infusion and a decoction prepared in a 1:1 ratio (a tablespoon of dry herb to 1 glass of water) helps.

The mixture poured with boiling water is put on fire, boils for 10 minutes, and after cooling, filtered. The only difference in preparing the infusion is that the solution is infused rather than boiled. The dosage of the main components is the same as in the first preparation. The healing composition removes phlegm well and reduces the intensity of cough. It is recommended to drink it before meals.

For cystitis

In case of exacerbation of cystitis, you can prepare a medicinal composition according to the following recipe: first, pour a glass of boiling water into the dry herb prepared in a container (dose -3 liters), the mixture is placed in a water bath, and simmered in it for 20 minutes. After straining, it is recommended to drink the healing drink three times, drinking a third of a glass at one time.

To strengthen the nervous system

Sedative decoctions and infusions made from the herb improve sleep, relieve irritability, and are very calming. For these purposes, both an infusion and a decoction prepared using the above methods are suitable. But you can brew medicinal tea. For this, just 1 spoon of tea herb is enough.

After half an hour of infusion, the drink is ready to drink. The glass is drunk completely in one go. You should not get too carried away with this type of treatment, so as not to get the opposite effect, as has already been mentioned.

Features of the plant

So, the tripartite string
(Bidens tripartita)
is a herbaceous annual plant of the genus Chereda of the
Asteraceae
. The Latin generic name of the Bidens series consists of two words and in translation means “two teeth” - this is how the peculiarity of its achenes is noted, containing two jagged awns, with the help of which it reproduces.

There are many species in this genus, but our people noted the medicinal properties of one - the tripartite series. This name is associated with the peculiarity of the leaves of this plant - they are on short shoots, divided into three small lobes with jagged edges, placed oppositely on a long straight reddish trunk up to half a meter or more in length. On the stem itself and the shoots extending from it in the upper part there are single tubular flowers, not very bright, yellow-brown in color.

They begin to open at the end of the first summer month and bloom until September. After flowering, those same wedge-shaped, strongly flattened achenes with two teeth begin to ripen in the flower basket, with which they cling to everyone who passes or runs past.

We can say that the three-part series is a neighbor of sedge and reeds, because it can be found on the damp banks of lakes, rivers, ponds, on the outskirts of swamps, in ditches. All this suggests that the plant loves high humidity.

It is widespread throughout the European part of Russia, in Siberia and the Far East, and sometimes forms real thickets, so there are usually no problems with the procurement of raw materials of this plant for medicinal purposes. The main thing is to get away from polluting enterprises and transport. But there is also a great need for its medicinal herb, for example, in Soviet times, the tripartite series was even grown on state farm fields for pharmaceutical purposes.

50 tons of dried grass were harvested throughout the country per year. Of course, even now in pharmacies you can buy ready-made raw materials of the tripartite series, packaged in bags, but you can prepare it yourself. The grass is stored in strings in the summer, in June, when the flower buds have not yet opened. Cut off the upper parts of the plant and shoots up to 15 cm long and leaves. Dry in a ventilated area, for example, under a canopy or in the attic, laying out a layer of 5-7 cm on paper or fabric. The grass must be turned regularly to prevent the raw material from becoming moldy. Dry until the stems become brittle.

Decoctions are useful for the scalp because they fight dandruff, strengthening the hair follicles. For psoriasis, they are treated with ointment with string extract or alcohol tincture. Baths have proven themselves well and can be taken for various skin ailments. The healing properties of the string help soothe skin irritation, relieve rashes and redness. Some companies use the extract in soap production.

In gynecology

The herb is recommended for use for gynecological problems in women. It can relieve inflammation of the mucous membranes of internal organs. To do this, do sitz baths or douching. If it is necessary to normalize the monthly cycle, women are prescribed to drink an infusion, which, in addition to the series, includes yarrow and motherwort. This collection has virtually no contraindications and will help normalize hormonal levels.

Against cough

The healing properties of the string help with colds. In addition to improving sweating, it helps fight fever, and in addition to this, it fights cough. Preparations containing the herb are used for bronchitis, helping to cope with purulent discharge when coughing, removing phlegm.

For therapy, you need to brew the herb, strain and add to the bath. This remedy is very effective in combating the disease. The benefits of the unique herb will not be noticeable immediately, but after a month the pain will begin to go away

For the urinary system

Being a good diuretic, the series has found its use in the treatment of diseases of the urinary system. However, you should be careful when using it as a medicinal herb on its own or in combination with other plants. It is not useful for all diseases, but only for some kidney diseases and impaired water-salt metabolism. For this purpose, only a decoction of the string is used.

For cancer

The fight against cancer should be under the close supervision of specialists, since self-medication can be harmful. Surgery, radiation therapy and other methods are proven treatments against cancer. Traditional medicine can only contribute to the recovery of the body after surgery and chemotherapy. Infusions from the series in this case have a minimum of contraindications, helping the body gain strength. You should consult your doctor, as some medications may not be compatible with taking medicinal herbs.

All herbs need to be mixed in equal proportions, then add 6 tablespoons of the mixture to 3 liters of boiling water and put on low heat. Cook without a lid, without letting it boil, for about 3 hours. Then strain, let the broth cool and put in the refrigerator.

You need to consume the collection three times a day, 40-50 ml half an hour before meals for 70 days, then be sure to take a break for 3-4 months. Then, if necessary, the course of treatment can be repeated.

Geography and distribution

You can meet the tripartite series in the middle latitudes of the Russian Federation from the western to the eastern borders, in the Caucasus, in Central Asia, where it settles in humid places with high levels of soil water.

Seeds of the string are equipped with three spines, with which they cling to the fur of animals and clothing, which contributes to the development of new territories by this plant

The plant is cultivated as a medicinal plant, and in the recent past it has also been used to produce a natural yellow-brown dye for wool and silk fabrics. In the century before last, the string was actively used in the treatment of various diseases, and it was harvested in many regions of the Russian Empire.

The healing properties of the string were highly valued by Chinese and Tibetan healers, but in Western Europe this herb was ignored.

Use in folk medicine

The preparation of decoctions, infusions and teas requires a competent approach, because the abuse of even herbal remedies is dangerous for the body.

Decoction

A decoction of the string is indicated for colds and gastrointestinal problems

The easiest way to prepare a decoction is to boil 1 tablespoon of dried herb in 1 glass of water, and then simmer it for 20 minutes. The broth should be cooled and strained, drink 1 tablespoon three times a day. This recipe has proven itself well for colds and persistent coughs.

But if you need a decoction to treat stomach ulcers, colitis, psoriasis, gout, pour 1 glass of water into 2 tablespoons of raw material and boil for a few minutes. The composition will infuse for an hour. Then you need to drink it in small portions throughout the day.

Infusion

10 g of dried herb should be poured with 1 glass of boiling water. Leave for 1-2 hours. Ready infusion take 1 tbsp. l. 5 times a day. This infusion can be used to wipe joints with arthritis (but the treatment will be additional, not primary). You can also rinse your mouth with the infusion in the morning and evening - it helps with bleeding gums.

Tea

To prepare tea, you need to take 2 teaspoons of the string and add 500 ml of water. The grass is poured with boiling water, the drink is infused for half an hour. Many herbalists believe that it is in the form of tea that a series of allergies helps. The drink prepared according to the recipe above is designed to be consumed throughout the day (in small portions). Tea relieves allergic rhinitis and other manifestations of allergies.

Extract

Seedling extract is usually not prepared independently, but purchased at the pharmacy. It is produced industrially using the percolation method. By the way, a medicinal ointment is made based on this extract, which is used in the correction of psoriasis. The extract is produced in dark glass bottles with a capacity of 200 ml. This remedy is used to treat eczema, erythema, arthritis, abscesses, and psoriasis. The instructions for the pharmaceutical product clearly take into account the dosage and method of use (specifically for each indication).

Seed oil

You can make butter at home. To do this, you need to take 1 tablespoon of dried raw materials, add 50 ml of coconut, sunflower, olive or almond oil to it. The dried string is crushed as much as possible (in a coffee grinder or mortar), and then mixed with the selected oil. This mass should be mixed thoroughly and poured into a jar with a tight-fitting lid.

The medicinal oil must be infused for a month. After this, it is filtered and becomes suitable for use. For a whole month, try to stir the oil daily. Add it to liquid soap or shower gel (1 part oil to 1 part product), and it will be a good cosmetic contribution to taking care of your own body and skin tone. And for psoriasis, this oil can be mixed with the affected areas. It is also suitable as a remedy to soften the effects of insect bites.

The healing properties of the tripartite series

Our ancestors paid attention to the medicinal properties of the string a long time ago. They harvested its grass and used it fresh or dried it for future use. In folk medicine, it was previously most often used to treat scrofula, which is why it received the name scrofulous herb.

Then folk healers significantly expanded the list of diseases for which it helps, and use it for skin diseases, arthritis, gout, diathesis, furunculosis, as an antipyretic, diuretic and diaphoretic for colds, scurvy and toothaches, blood diseases and other ailments . Used as an herbal infusion for baby baths.

Such medicinal properties of the tripartite series are explained by its composition. Research has shown that the string is rich in carotene, manganese, vitamin C and tannins, half of which are polyphenols that have bactericidal properties. It was precisely this property that, apparently, drew the attention of folk healers, who sprinkled the powder of the herb of this plant on the wounds and ulcers on the body of patients, which contributed to their rapid healing.

And scientific medicine drew attention to the healing properties of the tripartite series. Since its herb improves metabolism in the body, it is now used to treat various diathesis accompanied by rashes, neurodermatitis and seborrheic lesions of the scalp. When applied externally, the series dries the wound surface and promotes faster healing of the affected skin areas.

A mixture of string grass and lingonberry leaves is now prescribed as a collection that improves metabolism in cases of furunculosis and eczema. To do this, prepare an infusion of crushed leaves and herbs: take one tablespoon of each plant, mix them and pour two glasses of boiling water, close the container with a lid and leave for one hour. Then the infusion is filtered and taken 3-4 times a day, half an hour before meals, a quarter glass.

To treat patients with psoriasis, an alcoholic extract of the tripartite series is used, prepared industrially by percolation (straining 70% alcohol through pre-soaked plant material in special containers, during which the extract from the herb turns into alcohol). An ointment is also prepared based on this extract to treat this disease.

In folk medicine there are recommendations: apply crushed leaves of the string to wounds and ulcers. This helps cleanse them of pus, dry them out and speed up healing.

An infusion of the herb is sometimes recommended as a vitamin remedy for lung diseases, skin ulcers and ulcerative colitis.

To obtain this infusion, 3 tablespoons of crushed herbs (10 g) are placed in an enamel bowl, poured with a glass of boiling water (200 ml) and placed in a water bath for 15 minutes. Then the infusion is cooled for about an hour, filtered, the raw materials are squeezed out and the infusion is topped up to the original volume - 200 ml - with boiled water. Take a third or half a glass after meals 2-3 times a day as an anti-inflammatory and antiallergic agent. This infusion can be stored in the refrigerator for no more than two days and taken warm.

This infusion, in addition to oral administration, can also be used externally in the form of compresses, lotions and baths.

If you didn’t stock up on the herb in the summer, you can buy it in pharmacies; now the raw materials are packaged in 50 g bags.

Infusion of string for baths for childhood diathesis

For such baths, prepare a mixture of three components: take 1 tablespoon of crushed string herbs, chamomile and oak bark, mix them and pour 1 liter of cold water and leave for 12 hours. After infusion, the container is placed on the stove and the liquid is brought to a boil, then filtered and the infusion is poured into 10 liters of warm water (+37...+38°C).

In folk medicine, a decoction of the string is used for skin diseases..

It is prepared from 50-100 g of string grass, which is added to a bucket of water and boiled in a sealed container for half an hour. Baths are taken with this decoction for skin diseases, itching, urticaria, gout, arthritis, and neurodermatitis. Such baths are also recommended for acne and allergic skin rashes. The finished broth is poured into the bath and taken for 20 minutes. The course of treatment is one week.

To enhance the effect of this treatment, patients can additionally regularly drink tea from the series.

Series for the treatment of skin diseases

Dear friends! In this article I will tell you about the Series. The Chereda herb - Bidentis herba - is used for medicinal purposes .

Infusions from Chereda are useful for throat diseases, coughs, and colds and acute respiratory viral diseases.

But most importantly! Infusions from Chereda are very useful and effective for MANY skin diseases: - psoriasis ; eczema ; - with diathesis - atopic dermatitis; with pyoderma ; - for furunculosis and pustular skin diseases - both in adults and children.

Where to buy Sereda?

I think it’s still better to buy it at the pharmacy to be sure that it’s the same sequence. Or you can order it online, but also in pharmacy packaging.

Chereda is sold in different versions - Chereda grass, crushed grass powder, and Chereda in filter bags. You can buy in any of these options.

An infusion is made from Chereda. Below I will give 2 options for preparing the infusion of Chereda.

But you need to keep in mind that the series is available in different forms from different manufacturers, and each has its own nuances. Therefore, when preparing the infusion, just in case, it is better for you to check the instructions on the package.

Preparation of Chereda infusion, method No. 1 (herb):

Place 2 tablespoons of succession herb in an enamel bowl, pour in 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water, and cover with a lid. And heat in a boiling water bath with occasional stirring for 15 minutes. Then cool at room temperature for 45 minutes and filter. The remaining raw materials are squeezed out. The volume of the resulting infusion is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

Preparation of Chereda infusion, method No. 2 (filter bags):

2 filter bags are placed in a glass or enamel bowl, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover with a lid and leave for 30 minutes, periodically pressing on the bags with a spoon. Then they are squeezed out. The volume of the resulting aqueous extract is adjusted to 100 ml with boiled water.

How to use for adults and children over 12 years of age:

1. In the treatment of colds and viral diseases:

If there are no allergies or contraindications to taking the series, then adults and children over 12 years old simply drink the infusion of the series, warm, 1/4 - 1/3 cup 2-3 times a day after meals. usually from 3 days to 2 weeks maximum.

Important! Before drinking, the prepared infusion must be shaken.

2. For psoriasis, eczema, diathesis, furunculosis and other skin diseases listed earlier, the treatment regimen is a little more complicated.

If there are no allergies or contraindications to taking the series, then adults and children over 12 years old drink the infusion of the series, warm, 1/4 - 1/3 cup 2-3 times a day after meals, course - 20-25 days in a row. Important! Before drinking, the prepared infusion must be shaken.

At the same time, for skin diseases, you need to take baths with an infusion of the following:

We make an infusion of the series, and pour 1 glass of this infusion into a bath with warm water, stir in the bath. And we simply take such baths every day, also for 20-25 days in a row.

Attention! Some manufacturers recommend making more concentrated baths, at the rate of 1 glass of infusion per 10 liters of water. This is also acceptable.

Repeat the course of treatment in succession - both baths and inside for 20-25 days, if necessary, 2-3 times a year.

Important! The prepared infusion of Chereda should be stored in a cool place for no more than 2 days. Therefore, there is no need to prepare it for a longer period. Prepare the infusion for 1-2 days only.

How to use the Series for children under 12 years of age:

Children under 12 years old are not recommended to drink the series. But on the other hand, baths with a series can be given to children, even small children. And it is in children that baths with Sereda often give a quick effect.

We make baths with the infusion of the Series in the same way as for adults (see above), and simply bathe the child in such a bath with the Series, also for 20-25 days in a row.

Side effects of the Sequence:

- there are practically none, only extremely rarely are allergic reactions to the series itself possible, but fortunately, this happens very rarely.

There are very few contraindications:

- again, only an allergy to the string itself, and, as we have already said, this is rare. But you need to know that the series should not be drunk by pregnant women, women during breastfeeding, and children under 12 years of age.

VERY IMPORTANT!

When treating skin diseases, just before starting a series of treatments, it is advisable to drink enterosorbents for strictly 3 days. For example: Polyphepan, Filtrum or Entegnin, or Polysorb, or Enterosgel, or Activated carbon.

Any of them must be taken strictly according to the instructions for the drug - but only for 3 days. If you have no contraindications to them, of course.

Many questions arise about Activated carbon .

This is the most inexpensive of the enterosorbents. And it can also be very useful.

How to take it:

Activated carbon tablets are usually sold in a dose of 250 mg (attention, when purchasing, check the dose of these tablets!)

Activated carbon tablets should be taken orally, 3-4 times a day, 1-2 hours before or after meals, and 1-2 hours before or after taking other medications.

Adults need to take from 1 to 4 tablets (250 mg each) at a time with a glass of water. Children from 3 to 9 years old - 1 tablet 2 times a day, 10-16 years old - 1 tablet 3 times a day.

An improved option is an aqueous suspension of crushed activated carbon tablets: The required number of tablets (see above) should be crushed into powder and then stirred in about half a glass of chilled water. Then take in those doses and according to the instructions given above.

Contraindications to taking charcoal: children under 3 years of age, hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract (including gastric and duodenal ulcers, nonspecific ulcerative colitis), bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract, intestinal atony, simultaneous prescription of antitoxic drugs, the effect of which develops after absorption (methionine and others).

Side effects: Dyspepsia, constipation or diarrhea, dark coloration of stool. If these side effects, not described in these instructions, occur, you should stop taking the drug.
