Description of pharmacological action
dissolution and removal of gallstones from the gallbladder and bile ducts; elimination and reduction of the degree of biliary dyskinesia; improvement of motor-evacuation function of the biliary tract and intestines; anti-inflammatory effect in chronic cholecystitis, cholangitis, pancreatitis; eliminating or reducing the degree of bile stagnation; normalization of metabolism, especially lipid metabolism; removal from the body of under-oxidized metabolic products, including excess cholesterol; normalization of the functional state of the liver, pancreas and intestines; prevention of the formation and growth of gallstones; correction of the immunological status of the patient’s body.
Litolysin tablets instructions for use.
(Litolysin in capsules, instructions for use here)
Composition:
Extracts of chamomile flowers, sandy immortelle and milk thistle fruits; crushed rose hips, coriander and fragrant dill; calendula flowers; leaves of peppermint, nettle, coltsfoot, sage; hop cones; cinquefoil rhizomes; grass of oregano, woolly erva, knotweed; yarrow herb.
The formula is protected by RF patent No. 2097054 dated December 2, 1994.
Action:
The medicinal herbs that make up Litolysin contain flavonoids, organic acids, including hydroxycinnamic acids, essential oils, pectins, tannins, sugars, carotene, vitamins B, K, PP, E, C, trace elements (calcium, phosphorus, magnesium , potassium, zinc, copper, chromium, selenium, silicon, etc.) have many therapeutic effects (spasmolytic, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, sedative, antiallergic, restorative, immunomodulatory, some analgesic, regenerative, hepatoprotective, etc.), which allows for different directions to influence pathological processes in the patient’s body.
Litolysin has been successfully tested in a number of clinics of medical higher educational institutions in St. Petersburg, including the Military Medical Academy.
On November 22, 2006, the method received official recognition from the Health Committee of the Government of St. Petersburg as a “Method of treating cholelithiasis using the herbal medicine “Litolysin” (new medical technology).
According to the Head of the Department of Internal Diseases of the St. Petersburg State Medical Academy named after. I.I. Mechnikov Professor V.G. Radchenko, L.V. Turieva, and other researchers, the flavolignans contained in the herbal medicine, including silybin, dehydrosilybin, isosilybin, silymarin, dehydrosilymarin, silychristin, tasifolin, stabilize lysosomal and cellular membranes, preventing the release of enzymes from cells, and when interacting with free radicals, they inhibit the processes of peroxidation lipids. Thanks to the antioxidant effect, the penetration of various toxins into liver cells (including chlorinated hydrocarbons, alpha-amanitin of the toadstool, nitrosamines) is inhibited.
Silybin, silymarin and their derivatives stimulate specific RNA polymerase A, as a result of which the synthesis of proteins and phospholipids in hepatocytes is activated, the processes of regeneration and detoxification in the liver are accelerated, and the protein-synthetic function of the liver is normalized.
A decrease in the level of cholesterol, bilirubin, glucose, creatinine and urea in the blood serum was registered, and when taking Litolysin for four months, the beginning of normalization of the lipid composition of the blood serum began. This occurs due to the content of a large amount of unsaturated fatty acids (including linoleic acid - 50 - 62%), which have redox properties, promote the oxidation of LDL and, together with beta-sitosterol, prevent atherosclerosis and cholelithiasis: the HDL content increases , the level of LDL, VLDL and cholesterol decreases, and the atherogenicity coefficient decreases.
Normalization of lipid metabolism and liver functions improves the composition of bile (increasing the amount of substances that prevent stone formation) and its biophysical properties, reduces the lithogenicity of bile, and the elimination of dyskinesias and inflammatory processes in the biliary system prevents stagnation of bile and stone formation. It is important to note the normalizing effect of Litolysin on the metabolism of minerals, especially calcium, an excess of which can lead to the formation of “hard” (X-ray positive) stones.
The medicinal properties of Litolysin, increasing due to rational proportional relationships between plants, lead to the softening of gallstones. The stones become less dense, swell, sometimes increasing in size, crush and dissolve, and then in the form of a fine powder are painlessly removed through the bile ducts into the duodenum. The herbal medicine is capable of dissolving urinary stones at the same time (cholelithiasis and kidney stones are often combined with each other in one patient).
Under the influence of the herbal medicine, the functions of the pancreas, kidneys and intestines are improved, the microbial landscape and colon motility are normalized, and the quality of life of patients increases. In the future, the range of indications for Litolysin therapy will undoubtedly be expanded (relevant studies are already being conducted).
Indications for use:
- as a source of flavonoids and hydroxycinnamic acids, a general tonic that increases performance and improves quality of life;
- to normalize the functions of the liver, pancreas, gastrointestinal tract, eliminate dyskinesias of the biliary and urinary systems;
- chronic hepatitis (in remission), liver damage caused by metabolic disorders, occupational factors and medications, alcoholism (in complex treatment);
- with intestinal dysbiosis of 1-2 degrees;
- inflammatory diseases of the kidneys, urinary and gallbladder;
- dissolution and removal of small cholesterol and mixed stones from the gallbladder cavity, as well as small stones from the kidneys;
- inhibition of the growth of large gallstones and urinary stones;
- prevention of recurrent stone formation and exacerbations of cholelithiasis and kidney stones - anti-relapse treatment, including after removal of stones by surgical or conservative therapeutic methods.
- primary prevention of cholelithiasis and nephrolithiasis in persons with risk factors (threat) for the formation of stones: developmental anomalies and dyskinesia of the biliary and urinary tract, hereditary predisposition, chronic cholecystitis, pyelonephritis, obesity, hyperlipidemia, uraturia, oxalaturia, phosphaturia, etc.
Contraindications:
Individual intolerance to components, pregnant and lactating women. It is necessary to take into account general contraindications when dissolving stones by any method: acute infectious diseases, disabled gallbladder, acute diseases requiring hospital treatment, etc.
The simultaneous use of choleretic drugs by patients with cholelithiasis is prohibited if they are undergoing a course of treatment with Litolysin!
Mode of application:
Adults: 1 tablet 3 times a day with meals (if body weight deviates from the average - at the rate of 1 tablet per 20-25 kg), 6 days a week in courses of 1-2 months and breaks between courses of 2-5 days. Brew 1-1/2 tablets with 50-100 ml of boiling water, stirring with a spoon, dissolve the tablet and drink the suspension warm while eating.
For patients with cholelithiasis and particularly sensitive individuals, a milder dosage regimen is provided.
