Epigen intimate
Epigen intimate is an antiviral agent, immunomodulator. It is used as part of complex pharmacotherapy for herpesvirus infection, infection in which the causative agent is papillomavirus, herpes zoster, cytomegalovirus infection, as well as to prevent relapses of the above infections. Included in combined pharmacotherapy for bacterial vulvovaginitis, thrush, and vaginal dysbiosis caused by weakened local immunity. Indicated for discomfort in the vagina associated with itching, burning and loss of the ability of the mucous membranes to secrete a sufficient amount of secretion. The active component of the drug, glycyrrhizic acid, is obtained by extraction from licorice root. Epigen intima contains activated glycyrrhizic acid, which has immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, reparative and antiviral effects. It stimulates the reproduction of its own immune proteins, interferons. The immunostimulating effect of the drug is also due to its ability to increase the amount and activity of the so-called. “T-killers” (cytotoxic T-lymphocytes), increase the concentration of serum immunoglobulins A and M. Epigen intimate blocks the reproduction of viruses in the initial stages, causes the release of a full-fledged viral particle from the outer shell, preventing it from penetrating into the cell. The drug neutralizes, among other things, mutated viruses that do not respond to acyclovir and iodouridine.
Activated glycyrrhizic acid stimulates humoral (which is realized with the help of antibodies) and cellular (provided by various types of lymphocytes) immunity. Epigen intim significantly reduces the intensity of the release of kinins (physiologically active polypeptides involved in the development of inflammatory reactions) and inflammatory mediators prostaglandins in the inflammatory focus. The reparative effect of the drug is due to the stimulation of regenerative processes of the skin and mucous membranes. When used topically, Epigen intim accumulates in the affected area. It is absorbed into the systemic circulation very slowly and is practically undetectable in the blood plasma. The drug is contraindicated in case of individual intolerance to the components. Pregnancy and lactation are not contraindications to taking Epigen Intima. The container must be shaken vigorously before use. When used externally, the entire affected area of the skin is treated. The balloon is held in a vertical position at a distance of 4-5 cm from the application area. Single dose – 1-2 valve presses. For intravaginal use, you should put on the spray nozzle included in the package. The nozzle is inserted into the vagina and 1-2 injections are made. In men, the drug can be used intraurethrally. The nozzle should be washed after each use.

I don’t know if it’s true that drug brands pay doctors for advertising, that is, for the doctors to advise the patient to buy this particular brand. Maybe doctors choose which brand of medicine to prescribe based on different criteria. Not long ago I visited a gynecologist, and she prescribed me, as a must-have, a gel for daily intimate hygiene - so that germs would not get there, that everything there would be healthy and happy.
I thought - well, why not, took a piece of paper with incomprehensible blue scribbles and went to the pharmacy. There, the pharmacist sorted out the scribbles and announced the product to me: “Epigen-intim.” Okay, so be it. Price? ... and then I was shocked. Five hundred rubles, and even with a tail! I almost had a heart attack right there. Okay, I went too far, but still the price unpleasantly surprised me, and that’s putting it mildly. But there was nothing to do, I had to buy it. You can’t save on your health.
The gel is equipped with a convenient “open-close” system. Turn the head in one direction and you won’t squeeze anything out, but in the other direction the gel comes out. Palmolive soap could learn from this gel! Well, what can you do, here are five hundred rubles, for such a sum it would be a sin not to make a good opening-closing system!
The gel itself is a strange golden-copper color, quite liquid. I can’t ask the microbes how much their number has decreased, but I hope that the gel helps in this regard. Here's what it's supposed to do:
1. Maintain the required pH level of intimate areas
2. Cleanse the skin
3. Maintain the natural microflora of the mucous membranes
4. Relieve irritation and redness after using daily diapers, synthetic underwear and after hair removal
5. Feeling clean and fresh all day long
My problem point is number 4, and the gel successfully helps me at this point. So now it has become a necessary part of my entire “care cosmetics” complex. I’m just not sure whether the toad will strangle me when this gel runs out and I have to buy a new one.

I started using Epigen intimate gel on the advice of a friend, after she told me that this gel helps remove inflammation after hair removal. I use it only externally, and perhaps for a very short time (about a month), but I can’t say that Epigen works wonders. Inflammation goes away about a week after hair removal, as usual. I’ll continue to use it, maybe it will go away faster. I can’t say anything special about other characteristics - it has the usual properties of an intimate hygiene gel.

Advantages:
Consumption, smell, cleans
Flaws:
The composition did not live up to expectations
I bought Epigen Intim daily intimate hygiene gel after reading reviews on the Internet. It is sold in pharmacies and is more expensive than regular intimate hygiene gels. For example, my favorite Lactacid costs around 200 rubles, and Epigen costs around 800 rubles. Yes, the product is not bad, but I didn’t find anything special in it. The downside is the composition. For such a price, I expected to see a more natural composition. There is enough chemistry here. Pros: 1. Smell. It is pleasant, light, not perfumed. It smells like licorice root. I really like that there is no harshness or saturation in the smell. 2. Consistency. The gel is quite thick. Thicker than all the gels I've tried. It foams beautifully, so a small drop is enough for one procedure. I’ve been using it every day for 5 months now and there’s still a lot of gel in the bottle... maybe a little less than half or so. 3. Bottle with dispenser. 4. Application. It did not cause dryness or irritation. Cleans well and washes off easily. I bought this gel in the hope that it would prevent thrush or at least alleviate it in the future. But I didn’t notice such a result. I used it in combination with a spray. They didn't help at all. So for me Epigen gel is just a product for intimate hygiene. I will recommend it. I'll probably buy it again because of the low cost. Otherwise, my previous purchases in this area were enough for 2-3 months.

Advantages:
Smell, texture
Flaws:
Doesn't kill bacteria!
Pros: I am more satisfied with all its technical characteristics: texture, smell, the way it lathers. A very nice thing. One significant disadvantage: I was sick with 2 diseases. The gynecologist advised me this remedy for daily procedures, respectively, in parallel with medications. Moreover, another gynecologist also praised Epigen: “It will kill all your bacteria.” It’s as if they are paid for advertising... I was treated, my illnesses went away. I passed the tests - everything is as clean as a baby! I continued to use Epigen for its intended purpose... But after a couple of months, the illness made itself felt again, taking into account the fact that I did not have sex after recovery. It turns out that if it really cures, then I shouldn’t have gotten sick again... As they say in the instructions, Epigen is an “immunostimulating, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, regenerating agent” - I advise you not to believe it. After all, it would kill all bacteria if it really is as described in the instructions... That is, this product is suitable as soap for intimate areas. But Epigen is not suitable as an antiviral and therapeutic agent. P.S. It seems that doctors are paid extra for advertising)))

Good day to all!
Epigen intimate hygiene product was recommended to me by a gynecologist. Before this I used a different product.
Of course, I was confused by the price of almost 1000 rubles for a 250 ml bottle. However, as it turned out, the product is used very sparingly. The bottle has a dispenser, when pressed, a significantly larger amount of product is poured out than is necessary for one use. I did not press the dispenser all the way, which allowed me to significantly reduce consumption. At the same time, a drop of the product is enough for full use. The bottle shown in the photo lasted me more than six months of daily use.
The product itself is yellow-brown in color. Has a faint herbal odor. It foams slightly, which is an advantage for me, because... I don’t like a lot of foam “there”.
No irritation or dryness was noticed after use.
Now about the effectiveness of this product. Obviously, no hygiene product can cope with any existing problems. Only treatment under the supervision of a doctor will help here. At the same time, while using Epigen, I did not have any doubts regarding women’s health (there were no problems, discomfort, etc.). Of course, this was the result of a combination of various factors (lifestyle, nutrition, lack of excessive stress, etc.), but I think that Epigenes also played an important role.
But despite its effectiveness, daily use of Epigen seemed like a chore to me. Neither beautiful, bright packaging that is pleasant to look at and hold in your hands, nor an inspiring aroma. Boring.

Gone are the days (if anyone remembers them at all)) when intimate hygiene products were a curiosity and were considered an optional step in body care. Today, manufacturers are trying to distinguish themselves, expand the line of such products due to the form - foam, gel, cream soap, soap and properties.
Having used several different intimate care products, I settled on one product for many years, but a few months ago, when faced with the problem of dysbiosis, I tried Epigen Spray and I liked it so much that I took the plunge and bought Epigen Intimate Gel in addition to it. for daily hygiene. And then disappointment awaited me.
Why?
1. Price/quality ratio.
Epigen gel cost about 800 rubles in an inexpensive pharmacy for 250 ml. And I would understand this price if this gel really did what others cannot. But no, I didn’t notice anything outstanding about him. It was especially disappointing that after reading reviews about how wonderfully this gel works alone and relieves discomfort in the intimate area, I did not feel such an effect.
2. Not the most convenient dispenser.
I don’t know why, but you have to make an effort to press the pump and get the required amount of product.
One of the advantages I can note is that
The gel foams well, does not cause irritation, and does not cause allergic reactions. The smell is a little unusual to my nose, but I think this is due to the fact that the composition excludes perfume. A good manufacturer that inspires trust.
Summary.
Epigen Intim Gel is a good average product at a greatly inflated price. All the same functions are performed for me by another product that costs 6 times less!
Ps. Of course, I had no illusions that an intimate cleanser would relieve my problems with dysbiosis or thrush. Such things can only be treated with medications. And, by the way, Epigen spray helped me a lot with this! BUT!!! Should a gel for 800 rubles do at least something unusual?
